Just had the toronto police call me and tell me they caught 2 criminals that had a database of 800 people with stolen IDS.

Why would anyone do that is beyond me. Y'all fiending so hard you are giving out IDs??
And you know those stolen IDs came from agencies??????? Why would you just label agencies as the bad guys here?????
I very much doubt it was Toronto Police services that called you. There is next to zero chance that a detective handling that case is going to be calling 800 people. Besides which, you are referring to stolen ID, not elite escort agency database. If your post as a new member is sincere, you can expect a follow up call from the “police“ asking you to confirm your identification and or otherwise the beginnings of some sort of scam somebody’s going to be trying to pull on you.
If the “police“ ever call you with regards to such a dubious or suspicious call, ask for the police officers name and batch number and what division they are from. Then call that division and ask to speak to the CIB a.k.a. detective office.
Otherwise, I am 100% in agreement with you not to disclose your real name and contact info when engaging in this hobby. 1 million reasons not to, all the witch have been debated to death on the board already.

It was a fake scammer call from a fake toronto police. Can't believe I almost fell for it.

Police don't handle investigations through telephone calls. They always want to speak to someone face to face, to gauge whether or not they are telling the truth through body language, facial expressions, perspiration, etc.
