"Mr. Vain" by Culture Beat was a massive dance club hit from the 90's. Dig this video with some pretty dope shuffle moves and some nice eye candy

Not sure if you guys hear what I hear but from 0:01 to about 0:10 it gives me some "Unchained Melody" vibes. I've heard this song before but didn't know who the artist was.
this song is also from the late 50,s...kinda dated but Doo Wop, really doesnt exist any more
i first heard about the Chantels, long after their hits dried up.....i knew from the song Maybe through oldie programs on Chum AM..years ago... and eventually i found my way to Kops Collectables..on Queen St....went upstairs to find some buried treasures...i left with a couple of Chantels, tunes including this one....the irony here is that i dont own a copy of Maybe, but it easily fits into my 50 all time favs...hell even makes my top 20.....sing on Arlene...in heaven

Oh, Absolutely. It's one of my favourite albums of his which I still to this day listen to periodically (although now through Spotify more than CD format like I own his albums on)

It's too bad, with rare exceptions, that almost nobody is releasing that same kind of music today.
That's why I got so into Northern Soul, hearing music that was recorded in the 1960's and early 1970's that I had never heard before, until it was released by the British labels on compilation CD's from Ace, Kent, Goldmine Soul, etc. in the mid-1990's.
Even now, the odd time I hear a Northern Soul song on TikTok that is new to me, it confirms to me that the well is not yet dry.
Even now there is a resurgence in Northern Soul dance clubs in the the U.K.
Unfortunately it seems there are no new Motown, Atlantic, Stax, etc. songs from that Golden Era for me to discover...
Thank goodness there are some retro-soul labels, like Daptone out of Brooklyn, that are still producing and wide-releasing new soulful material!
