Lebron and Embiid on the same team, two of the biggest waste of cap space ever. They both need to exit the NBA.Actually not a bad move, smart - very smart. Plus at the contract he got and he can still play - lucky Philly had the talent. Get rid of Embiid and they have shot....Actually a better shot.
LeBron signed for 4 mil a year.
No argument re. Embiid. Plus seven footers are notoriously fragile and generally have a short shelf life.
After he screwed the Lakers for $50 mil and did nothing. He could have taken $1million and really helped the roster out, but nope, Lebron needed that $50.
Now he's taking $4m because he knows he won't perform and he doesn't want to be obvious when it happens and people won't complain that he's overpaid at that price.

It’s a fair point, Vinnie. I’m no LeBron fan, but there’s winning and there’s making money for the franchise. The 50 mil may have not been a great deal re. team record, but he made the Lakers much more than 50 mil merely by being there. Loyalty to a sports team franchise and taking much less than your value…well…that favour will likely never be reciprocated by the corporation.
But fuck LeBron very much for his roster meddling, his nepotism bullshit with his son, and the notion that he truly believes that he should be mentioned in the same sentence as Jordan, Bird and Magic.
Not good news for anybody in the East, on paper the 76's have the best starting five. If they can stay healthy, they will be a force to reckon with.
I wonder if the 76ers will have to take Bronny as part of the deal. James Jr's $2.2 million salary became fully guaranteed on June 29, 2026, one day before his dad announced he would be leaving the Lakers.

LeBron also meddled in the in game player rotations, insisting that Bronny's game minutes coincided with Luka's.
Maybe some of you remember schoolyard pickup games from back in the day when there was an uneven number of players. The team with two of the three best players would have to take the extra guy, the kid who totally sucked at basketball, but the others had to let him play because he owned the ball.
Having Luka Doncic with him at the Lakers was not enough.
So he has to latch on to the back of players he believes give him a better chance of winning another championship.
Michael Jordan he is not.
