Stung: The Incredible Obsession of Brian Molony - Gary Stephen Ross - Google Books

My ex girlfriend worked with Brian Moloney at CIBC in Toronto and was there the day the whole thing got discovered. Heads rolled. Managers were fired. He was a high roller. When the author was researching the book in Atlantic City a cab driver, when finding out he was from Toronto, asked what happened to the guy (Brian Moloney). The author answered by saying "I think he became Prime Minister.
One snippet I recall from the book was that Brian Moloney remembered seeing a beautiful, well dressed Chinese lady running around in the street in Vegas, approaching drivers with the offer of a bbbj for $20.00 so she could get back to gambling. She was cleaned out and desperate.

Crazy.
The movie Owning Mahoney is about that. The late Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role.

If you want to gamble at any casino, there are only 2 choices where you have a good chance to win, Blackjack or Holdem Poker. Playing slots is a totally losers game.
Of course. The casino ALWAYS wins. They have to, for their business model to work. Even in games where you can win long-term, like poker, the casino also wins. The only instance when the casino doesn't win is when you count cards in blackjack, which is why they'll curtail you if they suspect you're doing it.

Yep, I'm well up in cash poker games at casinos. I don't play anything else except sometimes Craps and Pai Gow, but I go into those two knowing its a losing proposition, financially.

I started using https://dimensi69.me/ for its fair play features and quick withdrawals. It helped me set better limits on my spending. Checking their responsible gaming tools might help you plan your budget more clearly before any session.

One exception. When DJT is the casino's head honcho.

Im a blackjack player mostly when I go. Which is down to once a year now to Niagara since Vegas is off my list for multiple reasons.

I've had stays where I lost in the 200 range a day, average, to stays where I won that amount, maybe a bit more as I pay for dinners etc out of winnings. This is playing 8+ hours a day when I go. Sometimes up to 5 hours at a time. I try to take a break, especially if I experience a fast loss, just to reset and not chase.

I also, when I lose, will sometimes go play Let it Ride, with some of the worst odds, yet I will hit a few big hands, get my reset, be up a few hundred, and go back the BJ. Only hits when I'm losing. Weird thing but my gambling friends have consistently talked about it.

Lately I've tried Ultimate Texas Hold em game a few times.
