Incredible match. France had so many good chances. They *could’ve* caught up fully or even won. Their goaltender backbencher was clearly rusty… the defenders did better keeping than him.
Both teams come away with something satisfying. Mbappe claims the scoring record and England brings home bronze. Almost feels *too* good for both sides. Some coordination, or at least an unspoken understanding, between their camps would not be surprising to me.
It’s still a great and rare thing to see a double digit goal game without it being a one-sided blowout.

England also takes home $29M in prize money; France takes home $27M. Canada would dream of that prize money because %50 of it goes into youth soccer (under 20, under 18, under 17, etc) in Canada. The other %50 is split among the players.

Lamine Yamal has so far not been a major factor in this World Cup.
I hope today he becomes the one doing the pass over from Messi.
As much as I think we may never see a player as intelligent and with so many skills as Messi I hope Spain wins this World Cup with Yamal scoring a beauty for the title.
