WatchMojo picked 30 of the most offensive songs in Rock. It was disappointing, they left out Pastor Robert Morris's favorite song. It should have been No.1.

Charlie Watts is the greatest rock drummer.

As Mick joked during one of their recorded concerts, "Charlie's a jazz drummer. He's just with us for the money..."

I'm gonna post the music that I like just for fun, and I think this site is filled with guys who went to High School in the 70s and 80s so there taste may be similar...so feel free to contribute.

There is another music thread filled with this dance/remix/electronic shit that just doesn't cut it with people with good taste.

So we'll start with the biggest rock n roll band of all time...

What makes Charlie Watts THE GOAT? John Bonham attached a tambourine to his high hat after he heard what Watts produced with it.

Brian Jones went out with a massive bang.
And Bonham allegedly created the unique drum sound in Ramble on, on his guitar case( or small suitcase)!

Saw Burton Cummings playing solo at my curling club years ago. He apparently was friends of the owner. LOL. What a powerful and magnificent voice.
Robert Plant once said that if he could have any other voice than his own he’d want Burton’s… Quite a compliment!!

I'll repeat my Burton Cummings story, which I have posted before.

When I lived in Winnipeg I was on a somewhat friendly acquaintance basis with Burton, back in the late 60's.

One day we were at a vocalist concert in Winnipeg, and I was sitting next to him.

A guy by the name of Herschel Fox, who had a more classical style voice, performed.

Burton said to me "I wish I could sing like him!"

As it turned out, Herschel became a renowned cantor at synagogues in Connecticut and California...

copied and pasted from the Valley Beth Shalom, Encino, California web site:

Cantor Herschel Fox

Cantor Herschel Fox shared his knowledge, talent, and Yiddishkeit with VBS for more than 40 years! Beloved Cantor Fox was born in Europe and raised in Winnipeg, Canada among Holocaust survivors. He spent his childhood in the dual world of Yiddish cultural life and European Orthodox Judaism, and became a cantor at the age of 13.

He was Cantor at Temple Shalom in Connecticut and performed in Yiddish theater and for Jewish organizations in the New York area. Cantor Fox taught VBS classes in Mamaloshen, Yiddish culture/song, davening and the art of the cantor. He directed the VBS children’s Chazzanut (cantorial) class and hosted Shabbat Farbrengen services. His legacy will always remain within the heart and soul of our VBS community!
