Why is this particular porn category so popular?

I don't normally shame porn preferences, but high interest in this particular one is completely unbelievable and sick. Why is there so much of this fake incest porn around (step-mom, step-sis, step-bro, etc.)? Is this really about attraction to the step relatives, or is it actually about hidden attraction to non-step relatives, i.e. to real relatives (real mom, real sis, etc.), and using "step" is a way to make it seem more palatable? I mean several categories that I may be interested in are completely attached to this "step-" fetish, and you can't see it without it being attached. I'm not looking for any scientific studies or reports, I just want to know your opinions about this?

I think it's for the storyline as many of the different categories are. Some of the older/younger, etc. They are just actors, not real "steps" etc.

I think that the stepmom/etc. porn is about attraction to step relatives.
With the high incidence of blended families nowadays, living with a stepmom/sis/bro is pretty commonplace. So to suddenly move in with a hot stepmom/etc. is quite likely, and can definitely arouse this fantasy. I personally like stepmom porn, particularly, because it's just a subset of MILF porn.

I personally don't think that this porn genre is anything about hidden attraction to blood relatives. I think most people draw the line on that. Stepmom/sis/bro/son/daughter porn is cast in this way because it doesn't cross that line into blood relatives. I personally wouldn't watch porn if a scene had blood relatives.

With incest porn, you can mostly skip the first 5 minutes where the story is set and it becomes just ordinary porn. It's porn that captures the incest fetish demographic and the non-incest fetish demographic. It's like "teen" porn even though the actress is in their 20s.
