Why do all recruiters look for ones with clearance but none of these agencies sponsor one ? Its a catch 22 and haven't i figured out the right people to do it for me ?.
Unfortunately, the answer is above your pay grade. Why do all recruiters look for ones with clearance but none of these agencies sponsor one ? Its a catch 22 and haven't i figured out the right people to do it for me ?.
I know you joke but the roles that I may land with the clearance dont even pay as much but I hear the govt contracts are stable and cushy which has eluded me so far.Unfortunately, the answer is above your pay grade.![]()
Ya sorry, I've had that line in the chamber for a while now and couldn't resist the opportunity to use it.I know you joke but the roles that I may land with the clearance dont even pay as much but I hear the govt contracts are stable and cushy which has eluded me so far.
I need figure out those companies and reach out to their people because the recruiters of these headhunting firms want no part in the sponsorship process. The amount of time they take to get and the cost leads too many companies to want to curcumvent it by getting someone who already has clearance rather than hire someone who would have to work unclassified for 6-12 months and possibly be rejected for the clearance as well. It sucks a lot but there's still companies out there who will take that risk, usually military subcontractors
I can't speak to the Canada side well, but from what I've seen of the American side the best chance is from those who have plenty of unclassified work so they still get a good employee to use even if their clearance application is rejected. Best I can recommend is just search for established contractors to start.I need figure out those companies and reach out to their people because the recruiters of these headhunting firms want no part in the sponsorship process.
This is helpful, thank you so much.Read this post

A friend that worked for a IT company Canada went in for the interview ACME labs. ACME Labs told him to go to Katra Inc for criminal background clearance. Katra Inc took only 4 days I think to get it.
When I did for school bus driving, or crossing guard I had to do everything myself. Get the form, submit to local police, then go to RCMP office in another city - schedule appointment by the internet. wait 12 weeks for the clearance form. Had to pay, I don't remember getting it, by that time I already found another job.
