Police officer and civilian killed in Montreal shooting, suspect also dead

The current amount of violence in Canada is mindblowing.
The videos of this is just heart breaking. Gunman shoots one cop, other cop takes cover as her partner dies in front of her, man (civilian) approaches cop taking cover from same direction as the gunman (presumably to help?), cop taking cover panics (likely thought the man was the shooter) and kills the civilian, gunman moves in on cop in cover, cop in cover tries to get away and the gunman is killed by other cops on the scene.
I saw the footage on Instagram. The female cop killed the civilian - a rabbi - when he was running towards her for cover.
That was a clusterfuck shitshow dumpster fire. That lady cop needs to rethink her career choice.
For sure it's been a tragic few weeks for law enforcement but even the shooting of cars and structures. 10 years ago shooting up a car or firing indiscriminately into a house or building was literally unheard of. Now it's to the point we're getting desensitized to it. Just another day in the city kinda thing. Crazy times....
Yep, but I also think with a lot more surveillance it leads to a lot more reporting, back then there really wasn't as much so who knows truly how bad it was
A possible incel shooter, and yet some people are using this tragedy to attack a female police officer who was in the line of fire herself, having just witnessed her partner being gunned down. Reading some of the posts on X by the fellow incels of the shooter made me sick.

My thoughts 100%. The number of posts I’ve seen is sickening.
Looks like she shot the civilian. But, the shooter was targeting cops. She’d been shot at. Her partner lay dying. She know the shooter was out there, and fairly close. The poor rabbi comes to seek shelter and sneaks around the cornersurprising her. And she shoots. In fact, tens of seconds later, the shooter did ultimately end up coming around the barrier the exact way the civilian who was shot did, and engaged in a point blank shootout with her.
There was no time to question the poor guy, she had to react. Anyone else who says they would have acted differently, is lying, and more likely than not, if faced with the same situation would have simply pissed themselves and throw themself on the ground.
Poor woman will have a double nightmare for the rest of her lives.
