Davies will not play in first game against Bosnia but Bosnia has key injuries so loss of Daves is no excuse

This is the key game right off the bat. Canada and Bosnia will battle for second to get into knockout

Switzerland will win all 3 games and Qatar will lose all 3

That means Bosnia and Canada will get 3 points plus whatever happens in thier match

I favor Canada to make it through

They have an exciting offence style game yet play very solid defense

The home advantage at Toronto will be huge even huger in Vancouver where stadium is bigger
but this is the key game

Because of home field advantage Canada should be favoured but
no question this is a tough game. A draw is very likely then they both have 4 points so goals decide who wins

But, a draw gets 1 point so they should be wild card draw for first knockout round so depending on luck of draw they could make it to second knockout round

If one team loses this game they are in a tough spot so if game goes to overtime I suspect both teams play defence as they will be happy to get draw, so draw is likely

This is actually exciting as we are favored to make knockout and making it into second knockout is in the cards then another lucky draw and we are in quarterfinal

to play the first two knockout games in Vancouver we need to win the group
so final group game against Switzerland in Vancouver should be exciting as Canada will play hard for the win

Switzerland's star striker cannot enter the USA right now. But Switzerland is a deep team. He can enter Canada and play the 3rd game vs Canada. I guess he'll be sitting in a Vancouver hotel until he meets up with his team in Vancouver.

The goal for Canada is to win 2 games vs Bosnia and score as many goals against Qatar and get a draw against The Swiss to finish in 1st place.

My issue with Canada is not the skill, we're ranked #30 in FIFA for a reason. My question is with the fitness. We have so many starting players who are not close to 100% health. Including our best player, Davies. Our bench is not deep so it's going to be a struggle for us. It wouldn't shock me if we went 0-2-1 with our lone point being a draw with Qatar. I do think we will win vs. Qatar and the 3 points should be enough to get us to the round of 32. But it ends there unfortunately.
The other two hosts I see faring far better than us. Mexico should win their group with relative ease and the U.S. will at least finish top 2 in theirs. They got the weakest draw.

My full predictions are still being worked on. Its tough given that there are not the usual 32 teams involved.

You are extremely positive.

I share the thinking of K. Douglas: Canada has currently been decimated by injury. Our 2 best defenders, Davies and Bombito, are not in game condition.

I hope Marsh realizes his best midfield play has come from Saliba and Choiniere over the last few games. And not from Koné and Eustaquio, which, to be honest, are horrible together. And I would stop making Osorio a sub... He should be right behind Buchanan at the start.

My favorite team to win is Argentina. What can I say I just love Messi. It could take a century to have such a great technical player as Messi.

Realistically, France or Spain should win.

But if Argentina does not win, I will cheer for the UK.

Yes Canada is a long shot to go deep but getting into the knock out round is a real possibility as all we have to do is beat Qatar and then get a break in being a wild card then Davis should be back

We have injuries but so do most teams esp Bosnia which we face first

Home field is our big strength. It is unfair advantage for us.

Winning division then getting home field for first two knockout games is a dream

I like Englands chance to win it all, they are a huge soccer nation and fans deserve a second cup

Yes, many of the Pundits are picking Canada to finish 2nd/3rd in the group but advancing to the knockout stages regardless. But I believe in the depth of the team, that they get it done without Davies, Bomito, Flores, etc. Marsch expects Davies to return for the knockout game.

Did anyone score the second batch of FREE tickets released earlier today for the FIFA Fan Festival watch parties at Fort York?

Also is anyone actually going to any of the 6 matches being held at our newly upgraded Toronto Stadium?
If you wait 40 mins before the match, you will see the ticket prices drop.

France lost against Ivory Coast 2-1 today. Friendly. And yes France had their top players. Great game, Ivory coast are full of energy. France is packed with talent, I wouldn't be surprised if they win fifa.

I watched the whole game, France was dominant in 1st half, but when their subs came in 2nd half, France were mediocre.
Gonna be interesting how they perform in WC.

And for whats its worth, Mbappe was shit for most of the game

I was looking at the stats of Norway's Erling Haaland. They are crazy. In 49 international matches he has scored 55 times. No doubt he helps make the Norwegians a dangerous side this WC.

And if they finish last they won't play at all 😂
