Stunned to see that Claude Lemieux has passed away at 60.
He was the flame bearer at Monday night game and looked in good health.

Win for a number of years in a market that has only won at best a hand full of cups if any means something completely different from a market that has had three dynasties. What's the point of having goals and aspirations if you don't aim for the highest of heights. Especially when they have players on their roster who are breaking records set from when the Habs had their previous dynasties.#1. Kent Hughes has said that he wants to build a team that "can win for a number of years". Any hockey fan should be able to realize that is not a claim that he intends to build a "real dynasty" that wins 3+ Stanley Cups in a row. Its that he intends to build a championship level team that will seriously contend for Cups over a long period, and will win some.
#2. Your "inclined to believe" something that Hughes never said, and that no team has done for 40 years.
Believing we are the team that will win 3+ consecutive cups in a row is over the top.
I'm happy where we are NHL and system wise,. it's been a tough series, we were lucky to get to round 3, and we are tired.
We were not built to be at our best this year either.
I'm glad to see you are finally acknowledging that a dynasty is three cups in a row. It's amazing where this thread has went over 18 months,
It started 18 months ago, with a biased Hab hater (Fun for All) and other Leafs fans who were saying the Habs sucked.
And 18 months later it has progressed to an overzealous fan who believes the Habs will be a Real Dynasty, and win 3+ Cups in a row.
We are in very good shape though as a franchise. Those Leaf fans who commented on the first page, can't feel good on how fortunes have been reversed.
Suicide too.Stunned to see that Claude Lemieux has passed away at 60.

I was surprised by St. Louis comments after game 4. He didn't seem to be considering any change in approach or strtategy. The reports were trying to suggest the Hab players shoot more, but he didn't seem to go for it.Habs are fucking pathetic, only 6 shots on a pumkin like Freddie Andersen. When all of Canada is behind you, you fuckin fold like a cheap suitcase.

Say ...... speaking of frauds ....... How did the Maple Leafs do this year ??MontreaLLLL got exposed as the frauds they are when they finally faced a real contender
Too much hockey. Boys were too exhausted in the end. So cut them some slack. They will bounce back stronger next seasonMontreaLLLL got exposed as the frauds they are when they finally faced a real contender
You could see it on the ice... no gas left in the tank.Too much hockey. Boys were too exhausted in the end. So cut them some slack. They will bounce back stronger next season
Has to be different year than 1991. They were either in high school or college back then.I remember when they had the first showdown at Sherwood country club in 1991 between Tiger and David Duval. During the broadcast they showed Wayne Gretzky's house and standing on the porch watching the golf on that hole in the house beside Gretzky's was Claude Lemiuex. He was Gretzky"s neighbour, talk about a juxtaposition of players.
You are correct. Time flies...lol thanksHas to be different year than 1991. They were either in high school or college back then.
Maybe 1999. based on Duval's peak.
A future torch bearer???Well it looks like this season was the last we will see Brendan Gallagher in a Montreal jersey. During locker clean-out he stated that he will be moving on. Which is a damn shame but was unfortunately inevitable. He's a real heart and soul player, one of my favorites in the fourteen seasons he played in Montreal. Always a pest in front of the net and never flinched when a Shae Webber clapper was coming his way.
