XI is much smarter than Trump. Unfortunately, the US currently has the saddest, most incompetent leader of all time.
So you believe the way xi has run its economy and society is smart? And you believe identifying signifgant gaps and addressing problems with its direct adversary is incompetent?

I know you dont follow but just look at the underlying metrics of the chinese economy. Look at who he promoted, then purged and disappeared from thr PLA leaving it in complete shambles. Thr paper tiger has shown its head again with its failures displayed and exposed in several different theatres. That is complete incompetence on Xi's end. He has squandered the greatest demographic dividend that has ever been seen and not it is in decline. China couldve been a force for good in the world and there was actually great optimism when he was named party chair successor to Hu jintao. But alas we are here.

I never said there is no poverty in China. The GDP of China has increased 28 times since 2000. Let me make an analogy to show how much that is. Before you came from China, you may have been making the equivalent of $1,000–2,000 CDN a year. Then you came to Canada and started working as a waiter at the Mandarin Restaurant, maybe making $20,000 a year. If you prospered as much as China, you would be making $560,000 a year. I do not know if you have been as prosperous as China. With the massive infusion of money China has received in the last quarter century, they have modernized. Twenty-five years is a very short amount of time, and China has miraculously transformed into a modern country, providing prosperity and opportunity to many of the citizens of China. I am not saying that everyone has benefited equally; the government can only do the best they can. From the looks of things, they seem to be doing better than the Canadian or American governments. No other country has achieved as much success as China has. The closest example I can think of is Switzerland at the turn of the previous century, when they prospered from international banking. Switzerland was a landlocked farming country that was known for sending its young men out as mercenaries to fight in the wars of other countries. The reason the Vatican has had Swiss Guards for centuries is that these men were hired mercenaries.

They were there on a spying mission and ordered not to get caught. They were caught and they dumped all their spy surveillance equipment into the sea. After doing so they attempted to fly away, a Chinese fighter jet buzzed them to get the U.S. plane to land, but the two planes collided and the Chinese pilot was killed. The collision smashed off the nose cone of the heavy American propeller aircraft and they had to land at Hainan, China. The crew of the American plane was held for 10 days and released when the American ambassador sent a letter of apology for incursion into Chinese air space. The American government never admitted to or apologized for spying. If a Chinese plane was caught flying off the coast of America it would have been blown out of the sky. I suspect there was back room politics and the price paid by the U.S.A was to allow China into the World Trade organization as a Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) member. That is when all the merchandise at Canadian Tire, Walmart and the Bay became Chinese made. It took less than 10 months for the Americans to allow China unfettered international trade to make them wealthy. Not only did China gain instant access to lucrative markets in Canada and the U.S.A being in the World Trade organization with most favored nation status allowed them to do trade in many other countries. 40micmic. if you could have just waited another year or two before you came to Canada, you might now be a top exec at BYD or even if you became a rubber toilet plunger manufacturer you could be selling them by the millions to the multitude of dollar stores around the world. China has taken in $Billions of dollars in trade daily since being permanently accepted into the WTO.

I am not a communist nor a hobbyist. I actively trades on the stock market, participate in one of the purest forms of capitalism, not communism. I do this very well and am very consistent in making a profit. You may look up my exploits in the Business, Finance and Investing sections. In the Ganja thread, almost every stock from Dec 15 to Jan. 15 I called was profitable the next day. One or two took an extra day to make a profit. Being that I am a proficient investor, I have attracted several women that have become friends with benefits, quality middle management ladies. I benefit them by tripling their nest eggs annually. These ladies take me out often, you may have even waited at our table a time or two. When they go on vacation they bring me Montecristo cigars. On special occasion they have gifted me special bottles, some of which I would never buy for myself. I would never be so extravagant as to buy myself $100 bottles of Sherry.
On the matter of the Hainan incident, I have not assigned blame to one side or another. So it does not matter if the information in the flight data recorder was released or not, you do not even know if it was even recovered at all. What I said was that the Hainan incident accelerated China's entry elevated status and permanent membership into the world Trade Organization less than 9 months after the Hainan incident. Simply this was a Quid pro quo back room neoglaciation the United States made to hush up the Hainan incident in exchange for China to enter the WTO and make $ billions each day in trade.

I only go to the Mandarin when they have the special events with special dishes. There are a few other places that are our favorites. My ladies spoil me with cigars, scotch and sherry. Many of these gifts I would not buy for myself, but is much appreciated. They benefit from my special abilities, I go over to their place and enhance their portfolios, my abilities have never failed me, my ladies are always pleased.

Your next post is junk. Did you exit, did you add to your positions (im assuming you did at the lows of the day), and you exited at the highs of the day. I posted the tilray chart for your reference and maybe you can plot when you entered, when you added and when you exited for more clarity. Otherwise, it is hard to believe you bottom ticked and top ticked and maximized profits.
So lets go a bit further and analyze your dec 24 post and your entries. We will take tilray again as the example
You enter at 13.78, then radio silence until jan 7, where you post % gains but not the spot price of tilray. Spoiler alert, it is much lower than 13.78. Although conveniently you post that you did "buy on the dips and sold on the highs."
So i guess what im pretty skeptical of your stock picking prowess especially when you dont put the spot price of your entries, the spot price of any adds, the spot price of your exits. Easy to say, "oh well i added on the dips and sold at the highs" after the day is done. Basically meaningless. I mean i could post some screenshots of the last few weeks but what good is that without context. Just like this one last week on MSFT...
