The GTX 1080 is the GOAT. It can run some of today's PC games at low settings. My GTX 1080 can render 1080p videos in Adobe Premiere on my old PC.

Yeah the GTX 1080 is a badass, and it's big brother the GTX 1080 Ti is the GOAT for sure. Unfortunately I don't have the Ti, but it's still great.

Greatful that I got Built Mine last summer 32gb ddr5 and 2tb ssd (entire build is cheaper than a GPU now)

If you have the GTX 1080 or GTX 1080 Ti, it's the GOAT. With rising prices of memory and GPUS, it's still worth hanging on to. Even if adjusted for inflation, it's very well worth the price.

They really regret making that GPU just because of how good it truly was, they never really truly captured the magic of the 1080's ever again

probably going to end up taking a long long while before it comes back down to what it was before, if ever
Yea... It sucks especially for anything that uses RAM, prices are skyrocketing for the most inane things cause they use RAM.

Friend of mine recently tried to upgrade his new PC but ended up only upgrading a few parts because GPUs and RAM are still insanely priced even with all the trends showing it going down. Absolutely nuts

Yea... I was reading something about China entering the RAM game and that might lead to cheaper RAM eventually but who knows when that's going to be...

I think the world dominance is going to come from the much cheaper priced GPU's which will also give them a lot more money too

friend of mines pc has been having issues and it's pretty damn old and he just can't justify the prices of anything because of all this SSD's are just not coming down which is one of the things he needs the most

This backlog is going to take 18 months minimum to stabilize at the enterprise level. Consumer will take 24 months minimum
It's really unfortunate how true this is. And now they're going to try and push cloud PC's at their next showcase so people cant rent PC's now that they can't afford to buy one.

Prices are really down the shitter, It's almost impossible to buy a reasonably priced home PC now and I'm quite upset about that LOL

Unless the AI bubble manages to burst I don't see it changing any time in the near or distant future

Amazing GPU that still somehow manages to hold up. One of the worst things I did 10 years ago was opt for a 1070 over a 1080 just to save a few bucks. Not worth it at all.
