Never. Went to school there and almost got royally fucked when I got sick in Uni. If I still lived there I'd be in crippling medical debt and would never have made it out.

Also, the pervasiveness of individualism that everyone lives in down there is gross. You feel it everywhere you go and it's just a shitty, slick layer that sits on everything and everyone.

Love to travel there (eventually again, not now) but would never live there again.

Huh? I'm not making excuses at all, simply stating why I'd never move there. On guns alone, I'd never move there. Lots of other warm places to go for breaks from winter.
But your complains are not the entire US....mostly it's pointed towards not liking the current POTUS = that's basically just TDS....I travel to, been going back and forth to the US no matter who's in power....lol...why would that matter to me? I like parts of the US....not the politics.

I would but it would have to be a warm state and not red neck. I'm sick and tired of this last winter. But you would have to dish out large for health insurance. I lived for some time in Oklahoma and Arizona and lots of beautiful chicks, lots of all kinds of restaurants, supermarkets full of all kind of goods.

There's nicer places to live in the world, warm weather, beautiful women, excellent food, that won't involve committing to the USA as a tax resident

You're technically correct about that, but the UAE gets violently hot for more than half the year. That's not nice warm weather thats boiling 50°celcius. I wouldn't wanna live there.
I get it. And im not saying its perfect. But I would choose UAE over US any day. At least the government gives a shit about its people. Meanwhile the US doesn't give a fuck. Take one look at the shitty Healthcare.

As a tourist destination...I would pick US as the #1 spot. Warm weather? Florida and CAlifornia have the warm weather but not that great. their summer attractions are over crowded and expensive.... Jamaica and the Carribean. Hawaii..Asia Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam Philippines, Maldives if you just want warm weather and beaches.... If you just want to visit for your hobby like fishing. Florida, Cuba, Chile, New Zealand, Greenland, Alaska and Montana in the US are go to attractions....again...if you look past the politics, every country in the world can be fun to visit if your plan is to move. you need to think more on downside upside financially and if it benefits you in the end.

At least Obama tried to do something, though he wasn't in the end much different.
Its all end state capitalism there now, crappy for anyone who isn't super rich.
That's true. But this isn't about trying. Anyone can try. The fact is that he helped fuck up the American healthcare system. And now anyone who needs it is screwed
