Condoms too small?

Is it just me or have others noticed that condoms are "getting smaller" at agency appointments? This has happened a few times already at various agencies - past couple of times I asked the provider if a larger condom can be used and she said that kind is the only one she has. This was never an issue last year and started occurring this year.

I have seen a couple of past threads saying that bringing your own condoms in an un-opened package should be fine, but still should something like this not be reported to the various agencies because it can easily turn into a "safety" issue? Also by "un-opened package" what is meant is un-opened individual condoms, not a full box correct ?

Small as in short? Or tight?

I would assume that an unopened box would be expected so they know that nothing has punctured the package and damaged the condom.

Or men are getting bigger, or think/hope they are. I solved the problem by getting smaller due to age 79 :)

Have to say my bread loaves are smaller than they used to be, and there are less M&M's in a package than before, but I believe that's due to the rising cost of raw materials and production.

Is the cost of latex, polyisoprene (Skyns), and whatever else they use to make condoms, rising too?

There outa be a law that condoms are the last things manufacturers are allowed to skimp on...

As I am average in length but significant above average in girth, I always bring my magnums with me. As long as you clearly open the package in front of the SP, I’ve never had it been a problem.

Most condom sizes are measured according by girth, and not length, unless you buy extra long (if that exists? )

Thanks a lot everyone! I would be the last person to "self-promote", but this has been happening with some frequency since the beginning of the year, and to me it is not only a question of comfort!

Thinking about also notifying the agencies because there might be a "safety" concern here

I've been noticing this also beginning last year.
I put on a little winter weight this year, let's hope it has finally gone to the right place! 😅

Was also very much hoping not to have to spend for a whole box each time, but can see what you guys are saying - "safer" that way for everyone!

Aside from the Trojan Naturalamb ones (made from a sheep's intestine! Seriously!) I find the Skyn Large non-latex are the largest diameter and best fit and feel for me. I used to use the latex Magnum XL but they stink so bad I feel bad for the girl.

I always bring my own and almost always it's ok with the girl. And those who it is not ok with, usually have their own assortment that includes a Skyn Large.

But the Trojan Naturalamb are the best for me as they are not so elastic and are therefore bigger and don't squeeze my dick so much. I used to use them for birth control with girlfriends before I got a vasectomy. But I don't think sp's would go for using them. But I might buy a box and see. I fucking hate condoms but I understand the need.

Was thinking along similar lines - could it be?!?! Hard to believe but logic is one thing and reality can be another 😐

Thanks for the great details! This was never an issue last year so I am wondering whether something has changed at agencies - different standards / cost savings ? I sure hope not.

I had heard the below before, so decided to google the issue and cite a source.

I would be amazed if a sex provider would allow them...

From the interwebs:

Lambskin Condoms Benefits, Risk, and Effectiveness
By Dawn Stacey, PhD, LMHC

Key Takeaways
  • Lambskin condoms can help prevent pregnancy but not sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  • These condoms are a good choice for people who are allergic to latex and want a natural feel.
  • Lambskin condoms are more expensive and less durable than other types of condoms.
Lambskin condoms, sometimes also known as natural condoms or natural membrane condoms, are a type of external condom made from the intestines of lambs and sometimes sheep. While lambskin condoms are effective in preventing pregnancy, the intestinal membranes are porous and do not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

As a non-hormonal form of birth control, lambskin condoms are equally effective as other condom types and a good choice for people who are allergic to latex condoms. On the other hand, they are also more expensive and not suitable for people who are vegan or avoid animal-derived products.

There are also these adhesive tip 'condoms' that just cover the urethra. Sound good but still chance of herpes.
EDIT
Like the lambskins, they may be a good idea with your Significant Other, with mutual trust re: STI's, and their faith in the pregnancy prevention effectiveness issues.

But there is not a sex provider that I've ever met who would accept them.
