The other was a beauty, I asked a cab driver where can I get some action - he took me to my house.

Brendan Fraser as Rodney Dangerfield?

The Cardassians do absolutely nothing for me, not attracted to them at all!
Timothee Chalemet had everything going his way, then he made a mistake. The Academy likes prostitutes, they don't like scrofas. The Cardassians cost Marty Supreme a shot at any Oscar, the film got shut out. Had he been smart, he would have dated Claudia Hastings instead.

Ahem, see post#1816

I saw it at theatre, as I enjoy the movie going experience, walking into theatre , smell of popcorn ....etc
PHM is not really action packed, more drama with comedy about a human interacting with an alien trying to solve a common goal.
I can see it just as impactful on a home screen, so wiat until it streams.
I'm indifferent on the movie going experience so I'm in no rush. I'll have no problem waiting for it to hit home streaming in that case, thanks man

I'm pretty much the same, it'd take a hell of a movie to make me want to actually go out and watch it in theatres

Don't get me wrong, going out to watch a movie isn't a negative for me I enjoy it enough. It's more I'm not chomping at the bit to ever NEED to go watch a movie at the theatre. If I go, I go if I don't then it's no biggie.

I've never read the Dune books but I've heard they go completely off the rails as they go on 😂
Still, the new movie looks kinda sweet

I've been dreading the comedy part ever since they released the trailer. I read the book which is amazing btw but pure drama. They should have left it alone a la Interstellar and not try to inject humour in it. I'm going to post an updated take after I watch the movie but like I said, as a huge Sci-fi fan (I average one book a week), I am apprehensive about the end result.

Btw, other botched adaptations in recent times of hugely successful books:
Foundation (TV show, rewriting bordering on criminal in my opinion)
Ender's Game (huge potential for an entire franchise, but they blew it so badly)
Ready Player One (they totally failed to capture the vibe of the Oasis and the quest for the Egg which are the best parts in the whole book)

I never understood why Hollywood cannot just leave the damn source material alone and give us decent adaptations without massive rewrites.

On the other hand I am impressed with the job they've done with Dune, hyper challenging project and almost impossible to do without massive budgets so it was a huge gamble they took but it paid off, while staying mostly true to the source material. I rest my case!

Now that we know that Timothee Chalemet is a damn fool, how well will the 3rd installment of Dune do?

With his silly words he's never going to get a sniff at dating a ballerina. He's stuck with the low rent scrofa he's currently with.

I think Dune 3 will do pretty well all things considered.

I ended up watching that War Machine movie on Netflix this weekend and it was a good enough flick.

Of course Denis Villeneuve is at the top of his game. War Machine was a good enough flick, that doesn't reassure me that it's worth wasting 2 hours on.

Denis Villeneuve's first film was Maelstrom with Marie Josee Croze (Munich).

Munich is Stephen Spielberg's best film this century.
