Preparations for the passing of Bill C9. Fentanyl? Every corner. Guns? On every block. Car theft? One every 40 minutes. Home Invasions? Daily occurrence. Police corruption? Let's not even go there. Jewelry store robbery? Multiple times a week yet this is how police are spending their time and our tax dollars.

Bill C9, is intended to target pro-Palestinian protests and criticism of the State of Israel or Zionism, by calling it anti-semitic, which is why it is framed vaguely.
Guess Carney was given his marching orders.

Looks good to me!

As of early 2026, Bill C-9, the Combatting Hate Act, is a contentious Canadian federal bill aimed at amending the Criminal Code to restrict hate speech and increase penalties for hate-motivated crimes. Key proposals include creating new offenses for intimidating access to community spaces, criminalizing the public display of hate symbols, and codifying a definition of "hatred"

The battle will be between deciding if some buildings can be protested because they are funding genocide or protected because they are also religious.

If you're protesting on private property, vandalizing any property, threatening passerbys, I don't care what your cause is, you should be arrested.

Careful. Private property could also mean a polluting business. And exploitive business. Could apply to Unions on strike. They needs to be Grey area a judge can work with based on circumstances

Add Bill C-22 with it and it's not going to be so good for the majority of people.

Little do the loonie left realize, calling Pierre Poilevre PeePee falls under the bill so I suspect there will be lots of them surprised when they wake up one morning only to find their hero has removed them from the internet permanently. The terms are written so vaguely that saying cats are annoying could be interpreted as hate speech.

Even a Union can only strike on the street, not within private property.

Explain why, please?

Bill C-22, the Canada Disability Benefit Act, received royal assent in June 2023 to reduce poverty among working-age Canadians with disabilities. It establishes a new, federally funded monthly benefit, with regulations developed alongside the disability community to define eligibility and payment amounts. Final regulations are expected in 2025.
