President Donald Trump on Saturday issued a stark ultimatum to Iran, warning that the United States will launch strikes on the country’s power infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened within 48 hours.

“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” Trump wrote.

The threat marks a significant escalation in rhetoric as tensions surge over the strategically vital waterway.
Trump added, “Thank you for your attention to this matter,” signing the message “President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Interesting, I saw that Iran struck Demona earlier but it wasn't clear whether it was the town or the power plant. Maybe it was the power plant after all

They hit scientists and around the plant as a warning after Israel hit one of Iran's nuclear plants.

Between power plants, nuclear sites, desalination plants, refineries, pipelines and more, these threats are empty. If they ho all out in Iran, so will they. And can set the region back 20+ years in infrastructure, with all the attendant economic turmoil to the world.

At some point it has to be acknowledged Iran can fuck things up. And is the battle worth it?

Even Donald Trump has to resort to the power of prayer to strengthen
his will to fight.

If there is one and only one true God the outcome of the Iran war
will be contingent on which side of the conflict the almighty is

How about Iran taking out the hamdful of super-giant oil fields in Saudi, UAE and
Kuwait? There are only 3 or 4 of those easy targets. Global economy would be utterly
destroyed and NEVER ever be restored to where it is now.

Not to make light of the suffering of the injured innocent victims, however its a good thing the nutjobs are incompetent and lousy shots,

All the Gulf states operate desalination plants for clean water. And that technology - i designed some of those - consumes a lot of power.
So if Trump carries through with his threat and Iran retaliates against its neighbours, the Gulf will be without clean water. For a long time

Gas is now almost a dollar a gallon higher in the US since he launched this war. I thought his focus was going to be on the economy and bring down prices lol

I doubt that Iran would target desalination anywhere but Israel, and doesn't Israel rely almost entirely on one plant? Even in Israel, they know that half of the population is Palestinians who they don't want to target.

trump just killed hundreds of people on respirators in Cuba, the blockade cut power to all hospitals there. Israel and america have a history of backing genocide already while Iran has acted rationally. What I wouldn't do is move forward thinking Iran's warning is a bluff.
