I only bought it from Amazon because I had a few hundred dollars in gift cards from Xmas so figured I would use those up. I probably should used them for something else and just bought the card Canada Computers etc...No, for high-priced items like that GPU, they need to inspect it for fraud and to make sure it's the actual GPU returned. Once it's confirmed, they will issue a refund. It will take up to 30 days. Then you can buy a replacement, but by then the GPU is either all sold out or the price goes up. Sucks!

That's not too bad, it's understandable on their part but also kinda frustrating from a normal consumer point of viewNo, for high-priced items like that GPU, they need to inspect it for fraud and to make sure it's the actual GPU returned. Or call customer service to see if they will ship you a replacement if they have another one of the same model. 1-877-586-3230Because Amazon is getting a lot of fraudulent returns on expensive computer hardware, they have to resort to this. Better to shop at a brick-and-mortar computer shop, where you deal one-on-one with a sales rep.

Yea they probably go through the same sort of precautions manufacturers do when you RMA a product.Ya, I imagine they get a ton of returns, so the 30-day window for the returns team to inspect the high-priced items.

Have a friend who bought a 3D printer from them and it ended up broken when he got home, they did everything in their power to not refund him until they finally relented and gave him store credit as an appeasementCanada Computers has a 15% return/restocking fee. I only shop there as a last resort.

Not been the biggest fan of theirs for a while because of all those issues
That was in the past. I returned stuff recently and there was no restocking fee, unless I am a preferred customer. Unopened and defective merchandise does not incur restocking fees.Canada Computers has a 15% return/restocking fee. I only shop there as a last resort.
