Doesnt matter.
So long as it gives Trump an excuse to end the war, and save face at the same time
Do you really think they will be able to get into a place the Iranians have been fortifying for decades, arguably their most secure facility, and not have a massive amount of casualties?

Ask Carter what happens when a raid on Iranian soil fails.

Trump has no path to "save face" now. None. If he walks, he loses the Middle East. The GCC will shun the USA for a generation. The Israeli lobby will crucify him. Israel will label him as anti Semitic. The war Hawks will turn on him. The anti war Hawks will say what a waste. The American people will say he is another Bush 1 and didn't finish the job.

Or he stays, costs hundred of billions more(he is asking for 200), loses Europe, China, India and numerous other parts of the world reliant on oil. Causes a massive world wide downturn, 7-10 buck a gallon at the pumps. Because Iran will destroy the oil industry in the gulf. They will do it. I promise you.
The whole thing is fucked Phil. It's a no win for him. But he can save things by leaving.

Yes! Thats why this war was the biggest mistake he will ever make. It's is possible to have no positive way out of a situation. Only bad options. That's where he is now. Sure the MAGA base will jump through whatever mental hoops they need too, but the edges of that are crumbling now too.

Personally I think he stays in, waffles until the Marines show up, and either tries for that or Kargh Island. But that's 10 days away, then mission planning. In the meantime Israel is going to attack again, and so will Iran. More shit will get destroyed. More capacity lost, and oil heads North to who knows what price.
And by June the recession hits, Stocks drop, and then watch things get worse.

All of that is true, which is why I said if Trump is smart he sends in a platoon of Navy Seals to capture the nuclear material. Bring it back to the US for a photo op, claim victory, and get the hell out of the war

About time, Germany stopped being a cuck.
They've been held hostage by their past for far too long.

The nuclear material is likely spread across tonnes, in different enrichment stages, stored in multiple facilities, many buried deep under heavily fortified mountains across Iran.
You’re not waltzing in, grabbing a can of uranium, and walking out lol.

So when Trump claimed the 52 Bombers took out their ability to build nukes. Ranted and raved and gave the media shit for even questioning the effectiveness of the raid, he was lying?
Trump prevented them from having one....and they said they will keep trying...basically throwing Obama's "deal"

Trump stupidly tore up Obama's deal! Iran never said they would create a nuke. They were open to negotiations. They were not a threat to America. They were a threat to their own people and Israel via proxies, yes, but not America.

You really believe everything Trump tells you or is said on FOX FAKE NEWS, EH?

AI Overview

Iran has consistently and officially stated that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, and top officials, including the Supreme Leader, have issued fatwas (religious rulings) forbidding the development of nuclear weapons
. While Iran denies pursuing a weapon, it has continued to enrich uranium to 60%, a level close to weapons-grade, leading to IAEA warnings.

Key Aspects of Iran's Nuclear Claims:
  • Official Position: Iran insists its nuclear technology is for energy generation, medical research, and scientific development.
  • Religious Prohibition: Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa in 2003 prohibiting the production and use of weapons of mass destruction, which was reaffirmed in 2005 and later.
  • The "Fatwa" Argument: Iranian officials have rejected Western accusations, claiming they do not want nuclear weapons and that their abstinence is guided by religious, not political, factors.
  • IAEA Findings: While the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has found Iran in non-compliance with its monitoring obligations in the past, Iran argues it has not formally broken international treaties.
  • Suspicion vs. Admission: Despite the lack of an official claim wanting weapons, the IAEA has expressed concern over Iran's advanced enrichment activities (up to 60% purity) and lack of transparency.
  • Allegations of Past Work: The US intelligence community assessed in 2007 that Iran had an organized nuclear weapon development program, which they believe was ceased in 2003, though this is debated by some.

In summary, Iran has never officially claimed they want to develop nuclear weapons; in fact, they have officially claimed the opposite. However, the country's nuclear actions and technical advances have been viewed with high suspicion by the international community.
