TEENAGER Kriss Donald was snatched from streets near his home 20 years ago today in a barbaric race-hate execution which shocked Scotland.
The schoolboy was only 15 when he was abducted just minutes from his house in Glasgow’s Pollokshields by a five-strong Asian gang headed by evil ringleader Imran ‘Baldy’ Shahid, 47.
Kriss Donald was only 15 when he was abducted, tortured and murdered by a racist gang
Evil Imran ‘Baldy’ Shahid, 47, led the race-hate gang who snatched and murdered innocent Kriss
The fiends took him on a terrifying 200-mile round trip to Dundee during which he was stabbed and beaten before being butchered and burned alive. Innocent Kriss was seized at random purely because he was white by the mob seeking revenge for being battered in a nightclub.
Daanish Zahid, 40, and Zahid Mohammed, 40, were caught and sentenced the same year but Baldy, brother Zeeshan ‘ Crazy’ Shahid, 45, and Faisal Mustaq, 47, fled to Pakistan in a bid to escape justice sparking an international manhunt.
They were eventually snared with the help of former local MP Mohammad Sarwar, who used his connections in Pakistan to have them returned to face justice.

They were finally caged 19 months later at the High Court in Edinburgh in the country’s first racially-motivated murder conviction and ordered to serve a total of at least 87 years.
Here’s everything you need to know about the shocking murder case.
Who was Kriss Donald?Football-mad Kriss was the son of Angela Donald and Alex McDermott and was a pupil at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Academy.Nicknamed Krypto by pals, the Rangers fan was a bright teenager who was getting ready to sit seven standard grade exams with hopes of becoming a mechanic or joining the army.
He had attended a military camp for teens at Garelochead, Argyll and Bute, shortly before he was murdered where he had been named best cadet.
He left his mum’s flat in Pollokshields for the last time around 3pm on March 15, 2004 on the way to meet a pal to play computer games.
Kriss is buried beneath a black marble headstone in Linn Cemetery in the city’s Castlemilk. A memorial bench honouring the lad stands near the River Clyde behind Celtic Park in the east end.
What happened on the night Kriss Donald was murdered?
Kriss was kidnapped off the street by evil Imran Shahid and his gang. He had been walking to a pal’s house when he was snatched in Pollokshields, Glasgow, and forced into the rear footwell of a motor.
The lad was taken to Strathclyde Park in Motherwell and then onto Dundee before returning to the east end of Glasgow in a terrifying 200-mile round trip.
He was stabbed 13 times, hitting three arteries, a lung, his kidneys, and liver. Kriss was burned alive as he bled to death.
What sparked the killing of the Glasgow schoolboy?
Imran Shahid and gang members Daanish Zahid, Zahid Mohammed, Zeeshan Shahid, and Faisal Mustaq abducted Kriss in a random attack.
Baldy had been hit with a bottle the night before in Victoria’s nightclub on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, by rivals from the teen’s area.
They swooped on the first white teen they found in a twisted bid for revenge.
What was the outcome of the trial?
Imran Shahid, his brother Zeeshan Shahid, Daanish Zahid and Faisal Mustaq were caged for a total of at least 87 years in the first racially-motivated murder conviction in Scottish history.
Police and prosecutors mounted an international fight for justice after three of the killers fled to Pakistan. Zahid Mohammed was jailed for five years for kidnapping Kriss before he turned and gave evidence against his former friends. He served only half of his sentence.
What has happened to ‘Baldy’ Shahid in jail in the past two decades?
Vile Shahid has continued to make headlines from behind bars. In 2011, he launched a compo bid over being held in solitary for his own safety. A judge’s ruling that his human rights had not been violated was overturned three years later by the UK Supreme Court.
But law chiefs agreed he shouldn’t get damages as he had not suffered real harm.
In 2013, Baldy was in a bloody gym attack at HMP Kilmarnock when he was hit with weights and metal poles.
He later moaned about being stitched up at his trial in a dossier sent to the Scottish Criminal Case Review Commission where he bleated: “I’m as much a victim as Kriss Donald.”
Shahid had 20 months added to his life sentence in 2015 after battering an inmate with a metal bar in Perth prison.
