I guess your one of those losers who mix politics with sports 🤦‍♂️
I practise the way I play. I won't set foot in the USA (have refused for 19 years), won't watch their sports and avoid every aspect of their culture. We'd be a better country if others did the same.

Again, the US can get fucked.

They have to beat SMU to qualify for the #11th seed. I dont think they can beat SMU to qualify.
I see that now. Yes I doubt they beat SMU who are favored by 6.5.

@K Douglas and @WyattEarp: If the Pomeroy Basketball Statistics improve your Bracket selections this year, please let me know in this thread.

Everyone else: See post #9.
I think you have to subscribe to Ken Pom no? If not for sure I'll use them as a guide to select my brackets.

I don't think so. It's just free statistical data, as far as I can tell. It's not a tip sheet site, like oddsshark(dot)com - which I have never used. That site predicts that Miami (OH) will beat SMU outright, despite being 6.5 point underdogs:

I've known about kenpom for twenty years. I've known about oddsshark for about five hours, and only because it was right near the top of the results when I searched on Yahoo! for 'Miami (Ohio) SMU Point Spread', so this is, in no way, an endorsement of that site. kenpom was endorsed by The Sporting News College Basketball Annual - that's how I heard about it.

I had heard of it of course being a follower of NCAA March Madness for decades, but I always thought it was a paid subscription. Good to know that there is a free version. Kind of like how ESPN has their "Insider" subscription to get added analysis and insight.

I used the Pomeroy data set fully and based the tourny solely on that - kinda curious to find out how accurate this is - having all 1's in the final four and Duke taking it. Fingers crossed.

One thing I notice... most of the White players look like they don't shave yet, and many of the Black players look like they've done a dime in 'State'.
You have 24 year olds playing. Eligibility has been stretched out.
I'm not sure what the rules are on experienced European players coming into the NCAA.

Some judge is going to say it's really a professional league and you have to open up the NCAA to anyone regardless of age.

SMU is not really that good. Miami (OH) was lucky that the First Four is always played in Dayton.
That's a 42 mile drive from Oxford.

Miami will get a look at their first Power 4 conference team Friday with Tennessee.

I'm not talking about age, I'm referring to different levels of physical maturity maturity at similar ages.

The NCAA doesn't have an age limit. It does, however, limit the number of years in which an athlete is eligible to play.

The Division III Lycoming College Football team had a 58 year old freshman on their team last fall.

It's also not uncommon for a student athlete to play intercollegiate sports after serving in the military, or a two year missionary stint, if they're a Mormon.

11 VCU beats 6 North Carolina in OT

NC was up by 17 points with 11 minutes to play.

In 2011, Virginia Commonwealth was in the play-in game for the 11 seed, and made it to the Final Four.

High Point is in a similar situation as Butler 2010 too but different seed. I think Butler was 4 that year who almost beat duke by an inch from a Gordon Hayward shot then they were back in 2011 and lose again in the finals.
