Will you watch Christopher Nolan's Tenet in a theater?

I don't understand why Timothee Chalamet is getting so much hate for what he said about ballet and opera, aren't some of his family professional ballet dancers? I feel like he would understand that it was sort of a stagnant artform

It look interesting for sure but I'm wondering if its gonna end up being one of those over-hyped movies that ends up being only okay. I hope that's not the case because I really like Ryan Gosling

I haven't been to a theatre in a hot minute, I'm more of a television enjoyer these days as I usually just put on a show and doze off while watching it after work.

Hey don't knock 'em, they may be awful and barely have any redeeming qualities but by God if they aren't fun to watch for how bad they are lol

She's Baaaack!

The other breakout out star of 2024, you know your good when Nicolas Cage casts you to front a film he produced. I've been waiting for In Cold Sight, most of it was shot at the Calgary Stampede.

She has two films coming out in March. This one I didn't know about, a modest Indie film hits No. 2 on Oscar weekend. No. 1 is a kiddie film.

Had a good deal on tickets, so took in a matinee perfomance of the musical Shucked at Mirvish on 18 March.
Pardon the obvious pun - corny, but with pleasant voices and good performances.

Then we got stuck coming home westbound on GO train line closure due to a level crossing fatality.
On the train at Union 4:30, off the train 5:45 after sitting at Long Branch station for an hour.
Walked to a local pub we know for dinner, then back to the station after the passenger congestion had all abated and trains were running west of there again.
In the door 8pm.

With Taboo, Chernobyl and Fargo on her resume, Jessie Buckley went as far as she could go with network series.

It didn't take her long to take over feature film as well. Shame about The Bride- nobody's perfect.

Just saw Project Hail Mary, almost said "Project Doug Flutie" to the cashier girl.

Ryan Gosling as a scientist/school teacher who is physically forced to board a spaceship to a distant planet in order to save our Sun from dimming and Earth. Remniscent of Interstellar and The Martian.
Gripping drama with humour.
910 'nuff said.

unassuming Project Eli Manning is from the same writing team that made The Martian.

I saw Sinners in the theater then streamed it a second time. What I noticed from the second viewing, how criminal it was that Jack O'Connell didn't get a nomination. MBJ was great, Delroy Lindo was fabulous, JOC set the tone of the film. It was peaceably ambling along until he showed up. I liked the town sequence, giving a nod to The Sopranos, MBJ's first acting credit.

What's the general consensus on Project Hail Mary? Is it good enough to actually go watch at the theatre or is it better to just wait?

Ahem, see post#1816

I saw it at theatre, as I enjoy the movie going experience, walking into theatre , smell of popcorn ....etc
PHM is not really action packed, more drama with comedy about a human interacting with an alien trying to solve a common goal.
I can see it just as impactful on a home screen, so wiat until it streams.

Anyone see & Juliet at Mirvish yet? I think it sounds fun. I want to go soon. Been way too long since I have been to a show.

It's 8.5 in IMDB. That's a very high rating
