Look to Persia (present day Iran) as an example. Was one of the leading astrophysics scientific communities in the world. Until religion came into power and discredited the science as it contradicted their theories on creationism.
This FB Short uses pre-Nazi Germany as an example of a country leading in science ... until Hitler's Nazi regime discredited much of it as "Jewish Science" and stripped Jews of their positions, replaced research into the science of evolution with racial superiority etc.
Now, the US, formerly a leader in world public health research, like vaccines, have systematically torn down much of these medical institutions and have appointed a crackpot like Kennedy to head up everything to do with dismantling the medical scientific research institutions as being a big bogeyman of "Big Pharma", former gov't conspiracies to install tracking chips in there cult followers brains....
