Would you feel safe sitting in these seats?

Toronto Stadium, what BMO Field will be called during WC of Soccer matches, inow has temporary seating on the north and south end of stadium to increase capacity to approx. 45,000.. The trusswork/scaffolding looks rather weak, I'd be nervous watching games in those seat with all the fans jumping up and down, also will some seats have obstructed view of field on the south side with that roof over rhe permanent seating?

They did the same thing for the Grey Cup a few years ago and kept them in place for TFC's first run at the title (they lost to Seattle).
I was at that TFC game (capacity crowd) and although they DO feel wobbly, it was all good. JMHO

(But if you drop a phone or anything else... it' gone.)

I'm sure MLSE will ensure they are safe. I mean, the fallout from them collapsing would be catastrophic. Plus, they will be rigorously inspected to ensure they are safe. My only concern would be the viewing angles for the games. If you're at the back, would you be able to see the entire field? Will they be removing those roofs over the stands?

Well if it is the same clowns who put up those seats a Downsview Park I think ( I am not from TO). I can hear the comments already.

  • Some residents online worry about slippery steps, structural stability and whether fans in the highest rows will have clear views of the field.

Whorrying whiny Toronto whiners who have no idea about structural engineering, whorrying about something they probably won't themselves go to.... typical.

And that phat ass girl in the first video breathlessly gossiping on "what people are saying" and the $158m cost a PRIVATE company is paying to upgrade their private real estate entertainment facility is one to talk. Look at those stupidly expensive 2" long Edward Scissorhands fake nails and that Woodbine Racetrack hair weave extensions on a NOW salary.... 😂

With the price of tickets these days, better off going to a sports bar with friends to watch the matches.
