My Thoughts On International Women’s Day

So, today the radio is going on non-stop about international women’s day, and it made me ponder a few things.

1st. I don’t think there has ever been a more privileged group of humans as North American/European women. If they want a career, there are numerous scholarships and grants, along with a massive cheerleading section to support them. If they don’t want a career, they can get welfare and just chill at home, or, sucker some poor guy into paying their way. If they decide to leave the guy, they get half his stuff. If he leaves them, same thing. If they want a kid, we’ll make the father pay for it (regardless of if he wanted it or not). If the don’t want a kid, they can get rid of it without any input from the father.

2nd. I can’t take modern feminists seriously. Their main objective is the extraction of resources from men. They don’t want to change the system, they just want to be the ones on top. If they want to be taken seriously then they need to stop celebrating women who do things which would get a man punched in the head.

3rd. Matriarchy was tried, it sucked. Matriarchies are about social control. Patriarchies are about exploring and building. Most of tribal Africa and pre colonization North America were matriarchies, this is why they were technologically and logistically underdeveloped, and, why they were unable to resist colonization.

I realize this will piss some people off. Good. It needed to be said and they needed to be pissed off.

Messy divorce, huh? I got buddies like that. I tell them to just see escorts. So much easier.
Nope. Marriage is pretty good, other than I like a lot more sex than the wife.

Please note; not all women are feminists and I only take issue with modern feminism. The whole movement has devolved to the point where it resembles any other ‘ism’ (racism etc…).

International women's day is the equivalent to national pudding day. Just another day that has been made "special" just like many other days

day more like life time. Just switched Pride to Fem on this video.

Yes there are some people still oppressed. But I am not going into North Korea to free them.

The majority of the professionals I deal with on a yearly basis (not talking about sex work) are female. This is a result of relatively more men going to college and getting advanced degrees. People can’t call off a tradition when it is no longer relevant. Sex work often gives young women pursuing education an advantage over young men pursuing costly educations. Maybe there should be a Thank You Johns sign at the march.

Coming up…Mar 14….Steak and Blow Job day.
Haha that's totally different. That's mens appreciation day for all we do on Valentine's day. Sadly we don't get our own day or month the way women do. Protectors, providers yet no day of acknowledgment for our year round efforts. This needs to change in the equal opportunity world we currently live in. Mens effort need to be recognized. 🤷‍♂️

Wow nice songs.

Based on the search results, there are several songs that explicitly mention not needing women, ranging from blues to country and rock.
  • "I Don't Need a Woman" by R.L. Boyce (Blues)
  • "I've Got No Use for the Women" by Marty Robbins (Country/Western)
  • "I Don't Need No Woman Like That" by Bobby Boyd
  • "You Don't Need a Woman" by Trey Calloway
  • "I Don't Need a Woman" by Broken Glass Heroes
  • "Who Needs Women" by Ten Sharp
Another, somewhat opposite, song that is frequently mentioned in this context is "I Don't Need a Man" by The Pussycat Dolls.

It always baffles me how many guys who hate women are on this forum. Half sad, half concerned. 😟
Can you help some of us understand the need for a National Women‘s Day?

By every statistic I have seen, there have been at least two decades where the average young woman is doing better than the average young man in the western world. So the day is irrelevant and almost insulting regarding half the population (those 40 and under).

There are some very bad statistics, particularly in the U.S., regarding poverty among female seniors. The U.S. social security system, and some private pensions, were set up quite unfairly for generations where women did not work outside the home. Women live longer than men, but after the male breadwinner of past generations dies, the widow often only gets half his social security or pension. So if the focus of the day was Help Impoverished Senior Women, I don’t think any of us would be dismissive of the supposed special day. But that isn’t the target audience or the purpose. It is promoted by cities and restaurants wanting people to go out and spend money after congregating and marching, with most of the participants being of above-average income and wealth.

Make some Google search like everyone else. There is a lot of day for a lot of things. The fact that you guys are so triggered by ours just show why there is one in the first place.

Not triggered at all. Happy for all you ladies that can now add Int Womens Day to your colllection of other special days like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Valentines Day, Christmas , and of course mothers day (yes , i know that not every women celebrates all them). But in all seriousness , the original posters point is that today in the west, recognition of women's rights and achievements is non stop. While men put their head down and are expected to grind. Yes, traditionally, women have had more road blocks and barriers to success, but today, women arguably have more opportunities and support systems than men do. At the end of the day, men simply dont need and dont care about recognition. And since we’re generally less confrontational than women, we’re happy to give you another day. 😉🌹
