They didn't have the precision bombing to hit specific targets at night...Churchill was moved around in underground locations as well.

No, they were being stupid. If Hitler had had a brain in his head he would have razed London to the ground and hanged the Royal Family when he had the British on their back foot.

The US has access to sufficient oil from outside the Middle East, and can, in fact, export. So, from a US perspective, who cares what happens to the Europeans, and let’s sell Texas or Venezuelan oil to the Japanese and Koreans.
