Two in custody after 'suspicious devices' lit outside Gracie Mansion amid anti-Islam protest
The anti-Islam protest was led by right-wing influencer Jake Lang. Police said two counterprotesters were taken into custody in connection with the devices.
The only culture that is incompatible with Canadian values, are the MAGA, maple MAGA, Canada First, great Replacement Nazi crowd and their associated sub cultures.
These far right wing malcontents need to be arrested, charged and defunded.

I know, you want to generate some sympathy because someone shot up an empty building in the middle of the night. Of course, whoever did it should be charged. But you know its likely a zionist, otherwise the security cam footage would be all over the media.
While Israel is committing genocide, bombing civilians in Lebanon and threatening to nuke Iran because they are losing the war they blackmailed trump into starting you will not get sympathy. The victim card doesn't work until you acknowledge and show sympathy to the millions of people subject to Israeli violence right now.
There is a reason why Israel supporters won't comment on the genocide, war on Lebanon and war on Iran, the same reason why you will post only here.

My viewpoints on Israel have become irrelevant - I don't agree with almost all of it but it's out of my hands. Know what I do? Worry about my own life in my own little orbit. And the shot at synagogue on Glencairn happens to be in my orbit, as it's a 1 minute drive to my condo from there.
One final note - I've commented plenty on Gaza, Iran etc. I just don't feel the need to repeat myself until I'm blue in the face.

If you want Jews to feel safer, as everyone in Canada should, then you also need to come out and make a stand for peace. That includes posting about safety for Muslims and Palestinians as well. Zionism is the single biggest threat to the safety of Jews and Muslims right now, through the genocide to the ongoing wars.
If you want to stop antisemitism you need to take a stand against all racism, including Islamaphobia. Otherwise you just end up appearing racist yourself and caring only about your own personal tribe.

While we all condemn any hate related incidents in Canada, we don't really know who is behind this and regardless there weren't any victims.
But given Israel's monstrous actions in Gaza, you are not going to get actual sympathy from people for such a minor incident.
You may get some perfunctory words of support from people who are afraid to be accused as anti-semitic, or from Islamophobes who want to leverage this to further victimize Muslims, but actual, sincere sympathy isn't something you can expect in this political climate.
It isn't fair obviously because Jews here in Canada aren't responsible for Israel's actions even if many of them support it.
But the very reason they don't show empathy or concern for Palestinians is the same reason others won't show support for the Jewish community for this one.
You can expect such blowback in times like these.
Believe it or not, I agree with much of your sentiment here. I fully accept that Israel is playing the role of uber-villain to much of the world right now and the diaspora are clearly paying the price. I just felt the need to tell Frankfooter that for many on this board, when he speaks, all we hear is Charlie Brown's teacher. I've stopped listening, because he simply posts too much.
On the other hand, Frankfooter is the one that brings all the receipts to the table on these issues.
He does the yeoman's work when it comes to exposing the crimes, the lies, the endless hypocrisy, the obscene racism,
the shameless propaganda. Stuff that gets no air play in the media, only one sided narrative.
Stuff that posters in here rationalize and justify and when the mirror gets held up, he's constantly attacked, constantly accused of being antisemitic.
Having to deal with posters like Uwuawa who is nothing short of a vulgar, racist imbecile.
Frankfooter gets minor support here and there but he basically fights the battle on his own, and he speaks for a lot of people who don't want to get bogged down in the nonsense.
