Actually Samsung and Hynix just announced extensions of their production for DDR4 citing demand. For sure other companies will follow suit to cash in if DDR5 is unobtanium for the next few years.And that's DDR4 RAM, which they won't make anymore.

Bought a 5080 last week after watching the price go down (and hoping it would go down further) and then ratchet back up. Installed it Saturday: DOA. Now I get to wait for the refund and then try again.
