I'll echo what people have said already.
Canada Computers is a fantastic place to buy computer parts - with knowledgeable people and lots of stock.
However, it's also good to check Amazon from time to time. Sometimes certain vendors offer certain items below market value.
I recently had to buy a 1TB MicroSDXC card, and everything on Canada Computers was wildly overpriced ($250-$300).
I ended up getting it on Amazon for $130 plus taxes.

I agree, I usually stick to Canada Computers or Amazon but on the off chance there's a better deal I like to check MemoryExpress too, I've never had an issue with them personally

I’ve been wanting to build a new PC for a while now, and I was honestly shocked at how much prices have gone up compared to when I checked last year 😢 I guess my new PC is gonna have to wait for a while lol

Amazon black Friday sale was your last chance. I got my 2Tb samsung NVME for $179.99, then they went up to $369 to none available.

IDK thinking about replacing my First Gen i7 Dell XPS purchased back in 2009 for $1,019.99 USD. It is dated but still runs great, better than new with SSDs and 16GB DDR3 Ram, being the only upgrades made.
Not a gamer and don't do video editing. Thinking of getting this for my needs. Price isn't bad, only 100 bucks more than what I paid for my current i7 purchased back in 2009:

I am replying to you on my Dell XPS 8300 that I bought in 2012 for around $1100. Still works great. Had to replace hard drive and Ram but that is it. Only problem is it can't be upgraded to Windows 11. It came with Windows 7 and am running Windows 10 now.

Looks like the AI bubble is about to burst. The cost to maintain those Data centres isn't sustainable. Then hopefully RAM prices come down..

Signs Open Ai is running out of money; they are resorting to advertising for money.

There will be a bust. It's obvious. Those old enough to remember the dot com bubble bust of 2000 will understand. Will it be bigger??

On computer side I am now 100% in the cloud. I can switch my device anytime. But I don't play games either...

NVIDIA won't make any new GPUs in 2026, and they have limited production of the 50 series GPUs. So the price of GPU have risen. You'll have to try the used markets. Good thing I got my RTX 5070 for $749, they are now selling for at least $900.

That's actually crazy, unbelievable that it's come to that, running out of stock for an entire year of ram/ssds/gpus two months into the year is just unreal.

Bought all new computers for my workplace in May of last year. Built my own new computer the year before that. I can hold out for quite awhile I reckon. At LEAST until the AI apocalypse kills us all. So I'm good.
