I'm thinking the fog of war is up on both sides. And not trusting what this admin has to say at this point goes along with yours.
At this point in time, I'm not sure it's necessary to believe what the U.S. Administration says.

No, they hit them because they have very poor strategic planning and they're not very smart.. Now the have all the Gulf countries getting ready to join the fight against Iran.
In watching CityTV news last night I saw a bit of the north Yonge St. demonstrations celebrating the death of the Ayatollah and the hope of freeing Iran from his oppressive regime..
There were a few Israel flags amongst them. I don't know if they were being carried by Muslims (in appreciation) or Jews (in celebration), but they did not seem to incite any anger or other negative response.
I just hope whatever faction takes the old regime's place is much less radical, especially in regards to the oppression of women...

Many Americans, Israelis, (and even a few Canadians) will mourn Trump when he leaves the Oval Office, or passes.
Especially if it is due to the violence of another person or nation.
And many Americans, Canadians, and other peoples of the world will then be overjoyed (but not the Israelis).
That is human nature, especially when it comes to politics and religion, especially when it happens to a "father figure".

What's important in this situation is how it ultimately turns out for the Iranian people in particular, and the Middle East and the world in general.
