Just saw some American talking head on CNN. He made the case that this wasn't really thought out. Surprise surprise. Pointed out that regime change isn't possible without boots on the ground. How are the population meant to overthrow a regime that has all the guns and infrastructure in place to keep the population in place?

The entire UK Army can fit into the O2 in London with room to spare. The UK Navy is literally scrapping a brand-new aircraft carrier because they not only lack the sailors to man it but also the escort vessels to keep it safe. The UK Air Force has a few dozen F35s but that's about it. The Brits literally have nothing to contribute outside of a few planes that would require American assistance in order for them to even be employed. Same goes for pretty much every other NATO country. Frankly the only two nations with the will power and the means to carry out such an operation are the Americans and the IsraelisSure, bud, whatever you say.

Those individual countries are stronger than any individual US military base.
If they jointly disallow US military deployment, the US has no option than to withdraw and won't be able to launch an attack on them from South Carolina.
It also defeats their purpose as they won't just be fighting Iran but the entire middle east.
It really depends on situations.
Americans would generally rally around our military. It's when we find ourselves in places like Afghanistan or Somalia without a clear objective.
If the objective is to weaken the Iranian regime, its military and continue hammering its nuclear sites, there won't be any widespread dissent.
You are too smart to not know that you find yourself with the likes here who always support Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.
I say this because the U.S. will always have dissenters who dissent just to oppose Trump, Republicans or anything deemed establishment.
