It's quite common. All Presidents have speechwriters. I guess most Prime MInisters of Canada do too.
The process involves the President going over the first draft of the SOTU and taking things out or adding things he wants to say.
There can be several drafts.
Of course it's a script, All of them do it...but for 2 hrs, he never read on a teleprompter...decimates the narrative that he's not cognitive.... he once again proved the lefites claims false...
I know this isn't any consolation, but many of us privately perform land acknowledgements in our homes before public events on television.

So how can you claim with 100% certainty that it wasn't used?
This guy struggles to speak full coherent short sentences and you're going to tell me he did this for 2 hours on his own? From the videos I saw, he did tend to babble off the cuff quite a lot, but no doubt in my mind he needed those teleprompters to get him started on a different topic.
