It depends on what we are selling. Looking like lots of food. We just did another wheat deal with china in response on Trump threatening tariffs. That benefits farmers. How are some of USA farmers doing these days?

Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither will our new security and trade agreements. And of course trade will continue between us. But it ain't going to be as much, as discounted, and definitely changed on certain security matters.

More importantly however is grassroots Canadian consumers are changing their spending habits. It won't matter what trade deals get signed if we just don't buy or buy less. Same with tourism. We are traveling elsewhere. And you can't make us go there.

The wealth gap, is pressure. As is ICE, daily crazy talk, suppression of free speech(see recent Colbert viral interview as an example), real estate diving, job losses, health insurance premiums rising, bad use of military, the grifting, cripes I can go on and on.

It's even worse this time. And citizens are noticing.
But you do go on and on and have been for some time. You're kind of our sky is falling for the U.S. guy. You get some progressive guys to join in the chorus.

I only present that many of your economic viewpoints are contradictions. One perspective doesn't jive with another. That's because economic growth and advancement isn't easy. It's also not that uncommon to hold these views. However, every political decision involves an economic trade-off. Even if Trump was trying to deal with the wage gap, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't recognize it or you would just ignore it.

Five years now, Canadians will be traveling to the U.S. in record numbers for the simple reason it's easy and close. You can even bring your car and we drive on the right side of the road.........most of the time. Canada's industrial and technological base will still depend on U.S. markets and in some instances U.S. companies. Their future is not China or elsewhere.

As I said, it's great that you have opportunities in China. I wouldn't pin too much on markets 5,000 miles away though. Australians can tell you the advantages and disadvantages of trading with China. Even our farmers know how volatile Chinese purchases can be even with announced trade deals. From a markets perspective, the biggest issue for farmers everywhere is that were in a low cycle for global agriculture prices.

Based on this specific video, what does this "expose" about Trump-Epstein from your POV?
Please give us a timestamp.

I am not sure why you are attracted so much to tertiary Twitter commentators who talk over video clips. I generally avoid this form because I don't think of them as original and they often devolve into politicized rants.

PS- Did you pay for a subscription to get this guy's content? As he said, he is at the mercy of tech billionaires to deliver you his content.
You have the clip; it is self-explanatory, and the commentator always provides receipts if you sit through the entire clip. ;)

Building on rich's latina pornstar comment, I would have liked to seen AOC get her money shot.
I would love to go below her equator and on top of her mountains.

You two, along with Ritchie, can drool all you like, but she will never entertain a MAGA cult member! ;)

We shall see. There is a certain arrogance in the assumption about Canadians traveling and consumer habits. I will use me as a microcosm.

SO and I have changed out several brands. We have no intentions of switching back. We check labels now as a matter of habit. We will continue to do so.

As for travel, right now we aren't, and if the put in the phone searches, 5 years of social media, and list your friends policy, we never will again. Period. If we even think it will be a hassle, we just won't. Why risk the vacation costs for an asshole border guard on a bad day? I have many direct flights options to the Caribbean and Europe. In fact you recently lost another opportunity from me when we decided on an April trip. Instead of a Florida run we are going to Grand Cayman. Flights are about the same, time share was even exchange to a 700 buck a night resort, and pricing, while slightly higher for food, its grand cayman so it will be quality.

My household you are probably losing $10000+ a year now in various sales and spending. And you will never get it back to the same levels. And I am not unique. I don't think you realize just how much damage Trump and crew have done. The tourism industry has, as have wineries, distilleries and some other industries.

And the world is agreeing with us.

I think you are naturally too pessimistic about the U.S. and too optimistic about Canadian prospects.

Canada is an economic funk that has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. Denial is not a way to address the core economic issues. Trump might have given Liberals another few years to actually do something about it. I assure you the answer is not more government. Many of you get too excited about government solutions. Canada needs to revive its private sector. It's that yucky stuff of free markets and encouraging capital investment.

The U.S. has always had more heated debate. We are not without our challenges. Our dynamism is what separates us from Europe.

As always, you want to pull out a bag throw in a whole lot of disparate issues and grievances in the U.S. and call it a movement. There is no deep-seated consensus on ICE. What you see on TV is a very small, subsegment that protests everything. They are in a perpetual protest against the establishment.
I will just leave this here.

Canada signs trade MOU with Mexico

I sat through the clip. In the beginning, MTG says Trump comes out looking fine in the files. Then the YouTuber adds his unoriginal, repetitive take. Okay, powerful people are putting pressure on the Trump Administration (and apparently the Biden Administration before it) to withhold or redact certain files. Got it.

I guess my frustration lies with the video didn't really deliver on your posted words.
If you really want to hear how bad Trump is, I suppose this type of repetition sounds like a news flash.
Hot off the presses as my parents would say.

I always did okay with the Latinas but it took some practice. Now days, Ritchie, RodMac and I can always get on a flight to Colombia with a stack of cash.

She can't go off script, lol....Bernie has some more work to do.

Neither Obama or Hilary will back her...She's Kamala 2.0

Love to see her go on with Bill Maher...Ain't going to happen anytime soon though.

Glad you got it and I would do the new MTG...she's grown on me

Latinas have always been my thing, and still are. Europeans and Latina, I have a very good track record, civvie wise.

You don't really need a stack of cash for Colombia, but it helps, and be very careful you don't run into a scopolamine scam!!! Especially if they know you are an American Gringo, you are at risk.

Canada signs trade MOU with Mexico

As I said, many trade agreements have limited importance. I'm not sure what this Mexico trade agreement really does beyond the political theater.
Even if I went with Butler's we don't need no stinkin' American trade argument, Mexico has no realistic alternative.

She would do well on a Rogan podcast.
You're further gone than I thought if you think that...If her team thought she would do well on Rogan she would have been there already. The format is to long for her at present. She does have the skills to navigate it...Same as Kamala...That's why they wanted all the conditions before they agreed to an interview.

The Dems should run Josh Shapiro but I get this feeling it's going to Newsom.

She would do great on most podcasts, especially with a rump like Rogan but I don't think she will be running in the primaries just yet, and if she does, she will not win it.

I hope and believe it will be Gavin in 2028. I wanted Gavin in 2024, not Kamala.

Shapiro, I like as well, but being Jewish will hurt the Dems in today's environment.

🤣 Even Whoopi is scrambling to shut down any connection to Epstein

Whoopi Goldberg shuts down any links to Epstein while addressing name appearing in files on 'The View'

Co-host's name appears in 2013 email about a Monaco trip in which someone asked Epstein to offer her his private plane
"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg addressed her name coming up in the Jeffrey Epstein files during the show on Tuesday, shutting down any link to the late convicted child sex offender.

"In the name of transparency," Goldberg began as she asked for the email to appear on the screen. "My name is in the files."

Goldberg's name is mentioned in an email from 2013, where someone says that she needs a plane to Monaco and that "John Lennon's charity is paying for it." Goldberg said that it should have said Julian Lennon's charity and explained that the email went on to ask Epstein if he would offer his private plane. The document released by the Justice Department showed Epstein responding with "no thnaks [sic]."

Co-host Joy Behar said Goldberg's point in addressing the message was that "anybody can be on this list."

Even if I went with Butler's we don't need no stinkin' American trade argument, Mexico has no realistic alternative.

All countries are actively building new economic ties and diversifying their partnerships. In that environment, stability and predictability matter just as much as tariff rates. Companies don’t want to invest billions into supply chains, factories, or cross-border infrastructure in a country where trade policy can shift overnight because the leader had a dream, a nightmare, or a buddy floated a new idea at dinner.

Trade agreements aren’t just about the immediate economic impact; they’re about signaling reliability. When policy feels impulsive or personality-driven, businesses hedge. They delay capital investment, diversify into other markets, or structure operations to reduce exposure. That hesitation alone can cost jobs and long-term growth.

So yes, Mexico may not have a perfect substitute for access to the U.S. market but it does have options. Countries like China are expanding trade and infrastructure influence globally, and blocs such as the European Union are deepening commercial relationships across Latin America. Even incremental diversification changes leverage over time.

Right now, many governments and multinational firms appear to be in a holding pattern. They’re waiting for one of three things:
A) 2028 arrives and there’s a new administration.
B) Political circumstances change unexpectedly with the grim reaper claiming the Orange Taint to come down to meet Satan.
C) A shift in congressional control turns the president into a lame duck, limiting the ability to make sweeping unilateral trade moves.
D) and this one is very likely to happen, the Supreme Court neuters the Felon's tariff whims.

In the meantime, uncertainty itself becomes the policy and uncertainty is expensive.

PS...Earp, let me leave you with this. I won't add the tag line but I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Republicans are going to get slaughtered in the mid terms...Trump will be out of gas then...Smart move would him bow out to Vance and let him right the ship, drop the MAGA schtick...The Don won't do that though...He'll drive it into the ground..Then the Republicans get their ass handed to them in the next election as long as the Dems run someone who is somewhat moderate...That's Shapiro in my opinion.

Where have I said that? In fact I gave stated the opposite. What I have stated is we are diversifying our trade to lessen the impact of US trade policy and open doors. Thats it.

Please also remember you do need us. You need our energy, our raw materials, and our tourism. We have leverage too and we are gaining more.

With all of the gerrymandering that occured on both sides it's looking like only 17 seats are toss ups. Until the votes are counted and lawsuits settled I'm not counting on anything.
