So because of the current cartel chaos in mainland Mexico, my group and I aren’t going anywhere outside of Cabo. Still there as I type this. The only Canadian strip joint I have as a point of comparison is the Brass Rail.
Cabo is indeed an overpriced tourist trap. Lapdances are 25-50 USD per dance or bundled into 120-200 half hour blocks. Drinks alone are 15 USD on the low end or 40 on the high end. USD, Pesos, or card accepted only. One broke guy in my group had a mamasita offer to barter his phone off him for a blowjob. Canadian Monopoly money is only accepted as tips.
Some clubs have signage posted once you pass the bouncers that directly show rates for HJs and BJs. If my drunk ass recalls correctly, Mermaids listed HJs for 120USD and BJs for 200USD… or was it 250? Full service is negotiated with each lady. I got quoted various prices from 400USD-600USD.
I ended up getting a negotiated 60USD HJ after a couple lapdances at Mermaids. Right in the curtained lapdance area… not gonna lie it was kind of sketchy. The curtained area was so dark I could barely see my partner inside. Imagine the dance areas of the Brass Rail, but with fewer spaces for clients and less maintained. Mermaids was the smallest, least impressive club I went to. Mostly empty on a Saturday night. Felt like a karaoke bar almost. Shabby MainStage with too much downtime between performances. Half the ladies I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole and didn’t speak English. The upsides were cheaper dance prices (24 USD per dance) and no requirement to buy drinks if you pay for lap dances. You can have the most bang for your buck here.
Popped into Splash for a mandatory 2 drinks to enjoy the stage shows. Didn’t even bother inquiring about services or lap dances here because I knew it was all above board, or that anything possibly extra only took place in VIP on the upper floors at exorbitant prices. Thankfully I wasn’t pressured here to get dances as much, as a healthy mix of horndogs and curious tourists were busily occupying the main floor. Anyone on floor 1 can simply order food and beverage without interacting with the ladies. The multiple floors got more glitzy and expensive as you went up to the a rooftop terrace. They also rent out party boats on the water, some real Wolf of Wallstreet shit too rich for my blood. I stayed for all of 30 minutes before leaving. Hottest girls in town even at entry level
My favourite place to visit, despite getting no extras there, was club Singapur. It felt like a slightly nicer Brass Rail. Slightly over half full on their slow day Sunday. Lots of pink neon and angel/devil themed decor. Every so often they’d pump scented pink mist into the main dance area like out of a spy movie. Lots of hot women, a good amount of them spoke English, and less pressure to get dances so long as we kept tipping the stage show. Every so often the ladies would do a massage parlour style lineup to show off their assets to the guests. You are required to always have a drink here, and you are encouraged to tip the male employees a bit. Whatever “cover” there was got waived when we tipped the bouncer a few bucks, and a couple little wingman attendants came around asking us about what kind of woman and experience we wanted. My guy hooked me up with a solid match after I threw a couple USD his way. It was kinda funny seeing him wave a skinnier dancer away after specifying that I wanted a big booty Latina
