WTF did they spend the savings on??Remote working has saved the government tens of millions in utilities and maintenance not to mention the resale value of the real estate. It's a bad move.

The answer depends on whether a person is actually adding value with their work, what the employer is willing to pay for this value, and not on any perceptions of "fairness"!Hey shaq, If you're going to work at home, not commute to work....will it be ok for your employer to decrease your pay since you're saving money working at home?
asking for a friend.
Most manufacturing facilities have office staff. Purchasers, quality assurance, customer relations, HR, supervisors (yes, even some of the supervisors WFH for some reason), schedulers, quality assurance (another extremely poor choice for WFH) and upper management. Then you'd need to preface it with industry, although am not sure which manufacturing facility job allows/allowed people to work from home anyway, given you couldn't manufacture from home.
I am referring to office jobs that rely on a computer and internet connection.
I don't know that industry or the work culture there, but yes, I believe if those folks work out of an office cubicle, using a computer, then they can work from home and still deliver. Most manufacturing facilities have office staff. Not work culture, human nature. Some people have the drive to make WFH more efficient than working from the office, but most do not.I don't know that industry or the work culture there, but yes, I believe if those folks work out of an office cubicle, using a computer, then they can work from home and still deliver.
Unless they don't because of the work culture, which says nothing about other industries where people do better working from home.
No, most do.Not work culture, human nature. Some people have the drive to make WFH more efficient than working from the office, but most do not.
Makes sense now.And am a veteran at working remote, in multiple industries, as I have done that for the last 15 years.
