Here we go again! Of course Maga Maple will support their cult leader once again as well.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday he will block the opening of a new bridge and trade route connecting Ontario and Michigan until the United States is “compensated for everything we have given” Canada.

In a lengthy post on his Truth Social website, Trump called for immediate negotiations over the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Windsor, Ont., and Detroit, Mich., that he said would seek U.S. ownership of “at least one half of this asset.”

He cited Ottawa’s recent trade agreement with China, Canadian tariff quotas for American dairy products, and Ontario’s ban on U.S. alcohol among his irritants with Canada, and that the bridge is the latest example of Canada treating the U.S. “very unfairly for decades.”

“Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. They own both the Canada and the United States side and, of course, built it with virtually no U.S. content,” Trump wrote. “President Barack Hussein Obama stupidly gave them a waiver so they could get around the BUY AMERICAN Act, and not use any American products, including our Steel.

“Now, the Canadian Government expects me, as President of the United States, to PERMIT them to just ‘take advantage of America!’ What does the United States of America get — Absolutely NOTHING!”

He later continued: “I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them, and also, importantly, Canada treats the United States with the Fairness and Respect that we deserve.

It is just so stupid, though, because it is already shared with America. It is shared with Michigan. And we paid for the whole thing except some inspections and stuff, but all the construction and everything was paid for by Canada.

And it opens up trade routes. He is just spouting for the sake of spouting. The bridge will open, and he will move on to something else in 3 days.

He's all bluster. His strategy to negotiate is to pretend he has all the power and leverage to the nth degree. This is why no Canadian government could negotiate a deal with him, Carney or PP. The reality is, he wants to string it along and raise all sorts of outrageous issues to really drag things on, with the goal of his adversaries taking a crappy deal just to be done with it...

That being said, I do not think Carney will kowtow to Trump, he spoke with Trump this morning and told him about the ownership:

Trump is trying to play games here....he think's he's playing chess, when in reality it's checkers....

Michigan has become poor but is a battleground State, The King of Kings will end up stuffing his pie hole with KFC and shutin the fuck up.

By Canada you mean Toronto, a consortium of GTA concerns put the money together to get the Gordie Howe Bridge built along with the Government of Canada. The Ambassador Bridge is privately owned by Morion Family who support President Trump. Even though the bridge is a bottleneck, they've done their best to stop construction of the Gordie Howe Bridge. It's pay it forward for Toronto, Detroit helped grow our economy from 1920's to 1960's.

Wot Bari Weiss not doing her job?

When I drove to Chicago I'd cross over at Sarnia/Port Huron.

I have to admit that I use to worry about the things he said sometimes. But he rolls back on so much that he says, like he will do with this bridge, that I just roll my eyes at him.

I think Carney has positioned Canada greatly in the world market making trade deals and partnerships that I am not as worried as I was.

I’m not saying not worry about Trump because he is unpredictable but for the most part - he is a lot of talk.
