Boy you really are a soft scared person. Standing in front of someone with your hands up is now "fighting with them". Just turn on Call of Duty and get your revenge fantasies from there. There is no spin here where he was violent, aggressive, or in any way desserving of summary exectution.

This is a guy who did everything right, and was executed for it.

This is the moment that the murderer decided to do the murder. Pretti is disarmed at this point, and held down by 3 guys that I can count. What threat is he to the man drawing his gun?

Is a Male Nurse with a nice beard so much stronger and more capable in a fight than 3 ICE officers that the only thing they can do to subdue him is put 10 bullets in him? Either ICE are cowards or they're pussies. Which one?

Show me the part where he was resisting? The Ice folks tackle him, hold his hands behind his back, and shoot him. THEY initiate contact. Can you show me where he is resisting?

Beyond that, what statute is he breaking, and what is the maximum punishment for that?

Even if I were to stipulate that he was resisting, which I don't fully agree with, but even if the ICE guys were getting that impression, they had 6 guys there. We have seen many, many times where police are up against the very same thing and manage to subdue the person.

No, you can't blame the victim for the overreaction on the part of the people who shot him. They had the numbers, they had control of the situation. Deadly force was not warranted.

This argument of him bringing a gun to a protest holds no water. Until he unholsters his weapon and points it at someone, he is not threatening anyone.

Google "MAGA bringing guns to protest" and see the many, many, many examples of how these folks showed up with semi-automatic rifles and many ammo clips. How many of them were shot by police? None.

What actions did you see on the video that would suggest he was there to be anything but peaceful?

If you were going to do violence with a gun, and you came into an encounter with the people you were there to be violent against, would you:

1: Engage them at close range
2: Put your hands up and step away from them
3: turn your back on them to help someone else
4: lay on the ground without fighting back in any way

There are more guns in America than people. Carrying a gun is not a crime, and is not an indication of being prepared to do violence. It's just a fact of life that people carry in public.

And let's be real. Not carrying your permit is a $25 fine. It's less of a crime than rolling a stop sign.

Also: do you know how we could have found out his intent? By not executing him while he was unarmed and pinned down by 3 guys.

Finally: Should Kyle Rittenhouse have been killed by Law Enforcement? He crossed state lines to bring a gun to a protest. A far more severe crime.

Which is why I want to see the bodycam video.

I think the ICE officers got spooked, and maybe thought he was trying to draw a gun.

I don't think the ICE officers who were struggling with him realized that that another ICE officer had already removed Pretti's gun.

If the bodycam video shows that the victim made absolutely no motion towards his pocket to reach for his gun, then I will admit it could be a bad shooting

These are both straw man arguments. You said "he did everything right", if you take a loaded weapon to a peaceful protest you are NOT doing everything right. This is pretty cut and dry. It's absurd to suggest otherwise.
