Bugonia shouldn't be there for best film.
Neither should F1 or Frankenstein or even Hamnet.

I thought for sure Rusty would be in there.

I love Frankenstein, it deserves to be there. Jacob Elodi got nominated has The Creature. A critic wrote that he imbued The Creature with humanity, unlike in Euphoria where he is a complete monster.

True Elordi has been a terror in Euphoria, he has an Achilles Heel...Jules

Twisted Rusty will probably get a nom next year for Professor Henry Murray in Unabom. Canadian Jacob Tremblay is making the big jump to adult films with Ted Kaczynski.

He's still a teenager.

I have no objection to Elodi's nomination (although there were probably better performances), I just don't think the whole film deserves a nomination.
Same with Bugonia - both actors gave killer performances but the film overall doesn't really succeed.

Reviews came later on...I've seen their trailers since last year and never heard until January.
I only heard of it when it came out and was getting glazed anywhere.
I liked it, but couldn't understand the hype.
The last 20 minutes or so is an acting showcase, though, and made me understand why the critics reacted as they did.

All these movies should be available on Pirate Bay.

But I would never think of downloading them.
I right away called the FBI and filed a police report

Some questioned why Mikey Madison won last year over Demi Moore. The answer is simple Mikey doesn't have any Razzies in her portfolio, Demi has four. The Academy finds them intolerable. The Great Adam Sandler has 7 Razzies, the best he can hope for is a Pewter Chimichanga.

I didn't even watch the 2025 War of the worlds. Imdb gives it a 2.5 out of ten. How did they let this happen to a book of this quality? The 1953 was great (considering they didn't have computer animation) but the 2005 one with Tom Cruise was very good.

Sinners was my fave film of last year. Well deserved noms.

It’s a shame that No Other Choice was snubbed. A piece of Korean cinema just as immaculately crafted and topical as Parasite was. Maybe it got less attention because Parasite generally already covered similar themes of rotten capitalism ruining lives.

Lee Byung-hun was great as the heavy in Squid Game. I'll make for No Other Choice.

It's distributed by NEON, they don't have the financial muscle to back multiple films. This year they are supporting The Secret Agent a film about Brazil's military dictatorship, imho the best film of the year. I haven't seen Sinners as well.

I watched Sinners yesterday its good, the music is good and those women dancing inside the club were beautiful. They'll probably win a Oscar for the music. Although a little slow in the beginning.

Frankenstein was very good too
