The economy is clearly struggling, with many people cutting back not only on luxuries but even on everyday necessities. Faced with an uncertain future, consumers are increasingly choosing lower-cost alternatives or avoiding discretionary spending altogether in order to conserve funds. When it comes to the hobby, these expenditures are often among the first to be reduced or eliminated, and once people cut them out, many realize they are not true necessities and can be done without. The pandemic and extended lockdowns pushed many consumers into a “cold turkey” break from luxury spending, permanently reshaping habits and expectations. Adding to this strain is the deep uncertainty surrounding the economy itself, no one knows how long the downturn will last. Trade disruptions and tariffs have damaged international cooperation, while ongoing talk of conflict, invasion, and war further unsettles markets and consumer confidence. Even if current political tensions were to fade, it could take five to ten years before the economy recovers to the stability and spending patterns seen in years past.

One girl I talk to said she has noticed a drop big time and is cutting her prices this weekend.
I'll believe that when I see it. I never see prices go down. Only up.
The economy always drives what we do and where we spend money and how much we spend. Currently with prices for food, clothes, etc being crazy, everyone takes care of things on the homefront meaning any outside spending - movies, shows, restaurants etc including seeing SPs - is secondary to taking care of the homefront. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that there's a slowdown in customers seeing SPs, not because they want to but out of necessity.

So while I agree costs are up, the people who do this have significant disposable income. Groceries increasing in cost doesnt impact them.
That is a % of people. There are those who only see girls for hh at say 160 to 200... those are the ones who will suffer.
Also the guys with the extra cash can be more picky.
Best indicator of "weakness" in this sector is "specials" agencies are running for girls.
I think industry needs to reset because ive seen at a few agencies girls who literally see one person a day.
Some girls are busy but its not like it was a year ago. Also I think all agencies raising rates contributed.

In better times, Tim Hortons stores did five times the volume of business they do today. I was recently in a Tim Hortons for lunch, and there were only two customers ahead of me. When a Tim Hortons location is struggling, it limps along until it eventually shuts down. It’s the lack of cash flow that forces the closure, not a competitor opening across the street. By contrast, the barrier to entry into the SP business is extremely low, all you need is a cell phone and internet ad. When times get hard and there are scores of ads on the internet, prices come down.
If the postings on TERB are a good indication, industry seems alive and well to me!
Show us some examples from agencies or indies, not from LL.
LL is full of scammers. Agencies and indies have reputations to maintain and repeat clientele. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they drop prices.
Like anything, the best ones are still hard to book at high prices. Gucci is still Gucci.

Tim Hortons isn't on the decline just because of the economy it's also because their products are shit and the service sucks
I am going to say this.... ( I think I might get in trouble ) ever since Timms ( franchises mainly ) ( and other food industry ) have been bought out by "foreigners" ( visitors ) the service has been slow in every restaurant. Me and other immigrants that I know say the same thing.
I even had an old black lady say to me with others... " I miss the white men / women business person."
I don't understand why non sex workers are answering. It depends of the girl. It is not slow for me. Not at all. But, i am not at the hotel. I am not working more than 2 person per day home. Being at the hotel or the spa doing volume can be another reality. If you botched/ dont work to get regulars, you are probably paying the price now that the economy is wonky.
