Maduro subverted or ignored the election process (just like the Democrats in 2020). His removal strengthens democracy in the the Western Hemisphere, and, deprives the Chinese of leverage. Next up: Iran.
Also; being the 51st state is likely to be better for us in the long run than another Liberal majority government.

Maduro is a rogue POS I have no sympathy for him. I do have sympathy for the people of Venezuela who have had to endure decades under undemocratic socialist repression. Maduro rigged the results of the last election in order to stay in power. He controls the executive, legislative and judicial branches. His time was up. His country was also responsible for flooding the US with violent criminals and drugs. Allegedly under his directive. That is what he will be tried for.
He was warned for months that this would happen but refused to negotiate or step down. The naval blockade was the writing on the wall.
Of course our resident lefties will be hyper critical of Trump's actions. The just want the oil blah blah blah. Venezuela produces less than 1% of the global supply. If you look at the U.S. Constitution Trump was within his parameters to authorize this raid. He swore an oath to protect the United States from enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Now if the Iranian mullahs are deposed this is a very good start to 2026.
