Transit City was a scam and cancelling it was the right call. As we see with Finch West and Eglington Crosstown. David Miller was a tool as we've seen with the St.Clair streetcar. Scarborough needs a subway as it is the 3rd most populated borough in the city. Most of the problems you are complaining about have been around before DoFo was premier including wasting public money.
St Clair is running fine.

Scarborough will cost over a billion for one or two stops, courtesy the crackhead.
Eglinton is built by DoFo's picks and has taken 15 years and isn't finished.
Finch is crippled by DoFo's rules.

You need to sharpen your math skills. Ford became Premier in 2018. 15 years ago was 2010. It shouldn't have taken 8 years to build by the time he was Premier.

Ok, use your math skills and tell us how much DoFo is spending on VP's at metrolinx.
DoFo appointed the CEO, who went to his wedding, and is now giving VP's extra gigs running school boards at $2000/day.

Doesn't exclude the fact that shit was happening under a previous government which you seem to exclude in all of your comments.
Metrolinx was doing better before DoFo appointed all his buddies to run it.
Now it can't build anything that works or on budget.

It never could. What did they build on time before DoFo became Premier?
They've only been around since 2009.
Before that the TTC did the builds, like the St Clair LRT, which works.

The did build the UP Express, which is now working fine. Started with rates too high but is now ok. That was before DoFo.

Actually it was 2006. Twelve years before DoFo and have been pissing away public money ever since. There was a reason the TTC was no longer in charge of building these transit projects and it wasn't because of DoFo.

New year, new Toronto traffic czar

The new year will be bringing with it Toronto’s first traffic czar.

In an internal memo obtained by CBC Toronto, the city’s deputy manager of infrastructure services said Andrew Posluns will take on the role of chief congestion officer and executive director of strategic capital coordination, beginning Jan. 5.

“He will shape the policies, partnerships, and technologies that will define Toronto's traffic future,” Will Johnston said.

The move comes as the city has faced consistent congestion challenges, including bumper-to-bumper traffic, a return to work mandate and the FIFA World Cup 2026.

In a CBC Toronto three-part series earlier this year, a December 2024 Canadian Centre for Economic Analysis study found gridlock costs the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) $44.7 billion a year in economic and social value.

In July, the city’s infrastructure and environment committee approved a plan to hire for the position. The plan went to council for final approval later that month, after which Johnston says a “comprehensive recruitment process” took place.

Posluns's top priorities will be to oversee the city’s congestion management plan, provide leadership to improve construction project coordination and to lead the development and implementation of the transportation plan for the imminent soccer tournament, Johnston told CBC Toronto in a statement Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Mayor Olivia Chow said Chow is “confident” Posluns is up to the task.

“It’s a critical new role to help Toronto get moving and especially important as we expect hundreds of thousands of visitors during the FIFA World Cup next year,” Braman Thillainathan said in a statement to CBC Toronto.

According to the internal memo, Posluns has over 25 years of experience in progressive public sector leadership.

Posluns has worked as the senior director of corporate planning, policy and research at the Canada Infrastructure Bank since 2020. Previously, he held senior roles at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation from 2009 to 2015, where he led the implementation of the transportation plan for the 2015 Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.

The $61-million transportation plan included a 1,500-kilometre route linking venues, airports and the athletes’ village. It also included roughly 185 kilometres of new, temporary high-occupancy lanes on major highways and thoroughfares in the GTA.

The Pan Am and Parapan Am plan also saw ticket holders get free transit admission on the day of their ticketed event on GO Transit, the TTC and 12 other regional transit systems.

Posluns also held senior leadership roles at Metrolinx from 2016 to 2020, where he oversaw the GO Expansion strategy across the GTHA.

Doug Ford was not even premier when the Finch R/T was designed.
And he wasn't even the premier when it was being constructed!

He was and still is on taxpayer paid vacation for the vast majority of his 7 plus years part-time gig as premier and full time mayor of Toronto and all other cities, towns, villages, hamlets, burgs, agencies, boards, neighborhood alley ways etc, etc, etc in Ontario.

No wonder Ontario is a frucken mess for everyone but his constituents, that being developers, private interests, motor vehicle scofflaws and dimwitted, Captain Unitarded rubes.

If ya ain't at work for 75% of da time, how is anything going be done, done on time and done right?

What do you think of the Posluns appointment?

Well the Go Expansion was probably the last one that was not an unmitigated DISASTER. But it did not involve a ton of construction. We need to bring in more Chinese workers to learn how they build shit. Our construction capabilities are PATHETIC

The other thread - that you appear to obsess about - now has 982,000 views. It will hit 1M views in January. The only other TERB thread w 1M views is the tan lines thread which took several years to get there.

My thread - which is about US political / legal issues and not specifically about Trump - will reach 1M in well under 1 year. It is the most popular thread in TERB history.

You should read some of my cut and pastes and try and learn something that isn't about bike lanes and Doug Ford. Might broaden your narrow horizons.

If you really believe that 982,000 pairs of real, living, breathing, human eyeballs have actually viewed the content of ur creepy, cringe-worthy constantly changing titles Trump thread then u r way more deluded than I could have ever have imagined.

"A stable genius" is the phrase that commonly arises from that type of osis.

Okay, if some of those views are bots, that's still massively more views than any other TERB thread ever gets.

Stop being jealous, Anby. Start a website called "I hate mean grifter Doug Ford, who is an evil dictator" and I am sure that you will get a million views in a couple of weeks.

I think you two should do a podcast called The Mandy and Andy Chat. Once you grow it to 100K followers, then you can bring in a Ford, a Chow, and a Tory to discuss issues. IMAGINE if the channel blows up to 1M followers, imagine all the extra pooning money you two could have. Hey, maybe a round table discussion with Phil, Ritchie and me discussing Trump, whiteknighting, secret groups etc...It would be a hit!!! LMAO
