Been tempted to book with Asian agencies in Ottawa for a while. I am just horrified at the idea of meeting girls that are victims of disgusting trafficking practices. I want to know the girls are working freely, are in the country by their own will, and can decide to stop and leave whenever they wish, and no one is controlling them. Anyone knows how these agencies operate? Anyone has insights?

Agreed, but how would anyone here know for certain? I'm not doubting the expertise, btw. I just have the exact same concern as OP.
I think we'd all like to know which ones are dabbling in trafficking and which ones aren't.
Food for thought though... 93% of reported human trafficking in Canada is a homegrown problem, canadian citizens. Not foreigners. Not saying it doesn't happen, as this is only what is reported. But whenever trafficking comes up on this board the attention always focuses on asian agencies, even though you could argue that they are the minority of cases.

White bay seems highly sketch to me. They're always very young foreigners that they only have for a week or two and I never see them having the same girl twice...
No idea why or how or what happens to these girls after.

A large majority of women in prostitution report extensive experiences of abuse and violence, both before and during their involvement. Research indicates that 60-75% have been raped, and 70-95% physically assaulted.

Bottom line: you choose to pay for sex - now is not the time to get a soft underbelly about what level of exploitation you are operating at.

You could be right, but I think a lot of times girls are lent from bigger cities like Toronto to work in Ottawa for a bit, then they’re rotated out once our small population grows bored of them. Seems like Pamella (WB) has some family/friends in Toronto and is here voluntarily. I hope I’m not wrong.
But this is a really good discussion to have. I truly feel for the girls who don’t want to be a part of this.
Likely less exploitation taking place from the established agencies with websites versus those that operate at various locations and random ads.
From my encounters, none of the girls at the agencies appear to be be here against their will or having indicated being pimped, but what they receive as their cut could be considered exploitive, like upwards of 50% or more of their rate going towards the agency as a room fee, booking fee, % to intermediary agent, plus having to pay for their own transportation, visas and food. Some have indicated they were oversold on the expectations of how much they’d make and therefore ended things early.
Despite the cuts, the money available to be earned is more lucrative than what they’d make in their home countries and hence why they agree to fly here to work. Some do it out of necessity, whereas others do it for a better lifestyle.
The worst was when 2 separate Thai providers indicated they signed a contract for like a year but they were on the hook for $40k upfront before they started keeping any percentage of earnings… and I was shocked and disgusted that such terms could exist or why anybody would subject themselves to such unfavourable terms. These two didn’t have much control over where they went. I don’t doubt what they told me since the details were identical.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. Many of these women haven’t had life go their way. Some tried university or college but ended up dropping out and accumulating significant debt. Many escorts working with Asian agencies are referred through friends, and those friends likely receive a referral bonus. I also don’t feel that the women whose services I purchased were being forced into sex work but it’s possible they learned to mask very well. However, I recently learned that (Asian agency) escorts typically take home only about 30% of what clients pay, which has left me with a moral dilemma when deciding whether I should purchase these services or not.

The girls are of their own free will and volition to come and go as they please. They actually pay for their own travel and airfare. And also intercity travel - but it can be quite pricy for them. They negotiate the fees structure, and if they don't vibe with the agency quality of service or just the city in general, they have been known to just pack up and switch city. Often, they plan their tour duration around their own period cycle.
