No show from provider

I find it unfair that if for whatever reason a client has to cancel last minute, there are elaborate policies about taking the deposit, blocking them for any future visit, or giving them shit at the least. I never do that, and if have to cancel give plenty of notice. I try to not even book if I’m unsure of making it. However it has happened plenty of times that a provider doesn’t show up on time and most are not even sorry. And I’ve had this done by both random ones from LL and reputable long time professionals. I think there’s a few who are kind enough to return the deposit though.
if it’s any legitimate business they would try to make it up to the client but I guess it’s not the case here.
Same for spas as well… happened at hush today.

I’ve found most of the providers that ask for deposit are professional and will they and give notice and re-book. It’s only happened once to me and I had a couple of hours notice which was appreciated as I didn’t have to drive. I think the issue is with providers that book back to back with no time in between sessions. I’m not a fan of this and try and stay away. My rule of thumb is if they offer 15 or 30 minutes you’re just a transaction. It’s not a steadfast rule, but I’d say 90% of the time.

You of course always have the option of not booking them again and giving a poor review here, so there is some recourse.

What are you even going on about? Hush doesn’t ask for deposits anyways.

no show or late cancellation clients means lost income for them, whereas for you it means you either find someone else or go home and rub one out. See the difference?
How is that different from Costco taking a hit by you coming back with your stinky socks that you after a year realized you didn’t need? It’s called customer experience and anyone with a little bit of IQ up there will know that it makes sense for long term business. Not sure what you’re trying to prove?

You definitely strike me as a guy who returns used socks at Costco and throws a fit if they hassle you. I just signed up for Terb today, I was hoping this was a Karen free environment.

seriously though. Reread what you wrote. You’re comparing a massive international company to sex workers, and comparing the intimacy of their body to used socks? You must be a treat in the room with them.

ps: my barber, RMT, and therapist all have cancellation fees. This is normal.

You clearly don’t get it. My time is not worth any less than a provider’s, no matter how famous or busy they are. Either you don’t value your time or are a provider yourself who does this.
Also smarty pants my issue is not with cancellation or late fees, it’s not being fair when the provider does a no show there’s no consequence, sometimes not even an apology. Like today from Hush.

I don't go to spas so I don't know much about Hush, but it is a 'business' with a reputation to hold. I'm with you in that I would expect that a business should make some effort to garner your continued support by offering some kind of restitution, perhaps a modest discount on a future booking, and at least an apology.

I've had one lady cancel on me the 'day before', after taking a $100 deposit on a $300 session. I normally wouldn't give a deposit but I hadn't seen her for some time, she's very reputable, and she had adopted this policy after too many no-shows by other men. She refunded the deposit within minutes of cancelling for a non-sex related health issue. The next one is hard to believe but true. I recently booked with a lady who did not request a deposit. When I arrived at her incall, she texted to say she would be 20 minutes or so late she cited an 'emergency' and said that she would heavily discount the session for me. When she couldn't make it after I waited a total of 45 minutes, I texted to tell her I was leaving. A half hour later, she texted that she had arrived, apologized profusely and offered to send me an Amazon gift card to compensate ME for MY lost time. Frankly, I was blown away (though not physically). I declined to accept the gift card but was incredibly impressed by her offer and apology. These ladies are both local independents with good reputations, websites, and one has an X account and they have Tryst ads (not LL). They clearly have long term business plans that include respect for clients.

Hey, administrative staff here! If you'd like to reach out to Hush with your member ID I'd love to look into this for you. In the rare instance a hostess misses an appointment and you weren't informed, we reach out with an apology and a credit to the account. We take pride in how we cater to our members 💕

I’m not a member, and have been told that I don’t deserve an apology from the admin because of that. I had reached out to the admin first, they put me in touch with the provider, the provider ‘booked’ me in, and I even asked that should I reach back to the admin for confirming the booking - I was told no need. I was only told that if a member wants the same time they’ll give my time to them and I’ll be notified. I was not told that to be the case after the no show.
I find it appalling that I’ll be told later I was a no show. I mean I messaged before heading out, 15 mins before, after parking, and then 10 mins after again before leaving. Not sure how someone can jump to that conclusion without even checking with the client, who’s parked outside waiting.

Hmmm this sounds like quite the miscommunication occurred. Our protocol is that only members are able to book in and reserve secured appointments. When you're coming as a guest, you are trying your luck as a walk-in. This has been our method for a few years now, in fact. Regardless we do aim to have an optimal experience for anyone visiting, membership or not. Rest assured - directly from Hush administration - we are sorry for any negative experience. Hope you have a great evening and if you visit again, please reach out so we can assist you with a membership discount. Once you are set up with an account, your appointments are logged and secured and you won't have any missed connections. 💕

I burned a bridge with a very popular provider by accident because a family member had a medical emergency and I was going to the hospital to see them the next day and would miss the appointment we scheduled. I gave 24 hours notice which I thought would be fine. At first it was, I was told to try again another time, and then when I tried to reschedule later on she absolutely lost it on me and sent me paragraphs of name calling and letting me know just how terrible of a person I was, with a block before I could respond…

I'd say take a hike to those A holes that think that they can act like that.

If you acted like that when trying to book an appointment with any professional in any other field you would get ignored at best and/or blacklisted publicly across the whole professional group.
