Which Major League Baseball pitcher has the highest career average* for strikeouts per nine innings, (11.2)?

Minimum 1,000 innings pitched.
Its one of two for me. I'll guess Chris Sale.

Nope.

There's a clue in my reply to downbound123 which would rule out Chris Sale. Chris could ultimately lead this list, as he currently sits with 11.1 K/9.

Who am I?

I am a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, elected on my first ballot appearance.

I spent my entire Major League career with the team which signed me as an amateur. I played my first professional game one week after my high school graduation.

I won a Most Valuable Player Award, and two World Series rings. One of my teammates on the World Championship teams was also an MVP winner, but no one thought that we were related.

I am the only man in Major League Baseball history to have hit into a Triple Play four times during my career.

This was my other choice and it makes sense given your clue you mention

Two pitchers, (each of whom has never started a game), have more than 14 strikeouts per nine innings pitched for their careers, (minimum 800 inning pitched). Through games of September 1, 2025, one has pitched 1/3 of an inning more than the other, and the difference between their career ERAs is 0.06.

Name both.

On January 20, 1968 the UCLA Bruins played the Houston Cougars in an NCAA men's basketball game. What was historically significant about the game?
This was the first regular season NCAA basketball game televised nationally.
Lew Alcindor(later Kareem Abdul Jabbar) played for UCLA and Elvin Hayes played for Houston. The Cougars beat UCLA in what would be one of only 2 losses in Alcindor's time with UCLA. Alcindor was nursing an eye injury which limited his productivity, but still played the game.

UCLA's 47-game winning streak came to an end in that game.

Eugenio Suarez had 36 home runs for the Arizona Diamondbacks when he was traded to the Seattle Mariners on July 31st. If he hits four or more homers during the rest of this season, he will become the fourth? player to be traded during a 40 homer season.

Who is/are the only other player(s) to have accomplished this feat?

downbound123 correctly identified Mark McGwire.

K Douglas correctly identified Adam Dunn.

One Stump.
David Justice had 21 home runs for the Cleveland Indians and 20 HRs for the New York Yankees in 2000.
