Springer form is seen with his deep blast. His resurgence can be seen in that at bat. The ball was low yet he skied it deep because he now tilts his upper body down and back towards catcher as pitch is delivered. This give his bat an upward swing path as well as give him a better look at the ball


Berrios looked lost. Could not finish batters off. He has pitched more innings in the last few years as anybody

Time to bring Bieber up and pitch him in Berrios spot for a turn and give Berrios a rest . This idea, or making a six man rotation, will be the next big decision for management

Yup. Pittsburgh is not a good team without Skenes pitching

He strikes out over a man per inning with few walks

Homers win playoff games so can Jays small ball win against the quality pitchers in the playoffs ? This is a tough test for the Jays

Will the Jays take Skenes deep into the count to wear him out to get into the bullpen? and get behind on a strikeout king?

Skenes is what they will think about for the next 24 hours

Looking at the minors as the season winds down. I used the overall season records/standings instead of the current second half.

Had a chance to win game, scored 2 runs off Skenes, but 3 errors and wild pitch cost them a potential win.
Vladdy hurts hammy, if he is out as long as Varsh was, say goodbye to at least first place.

Springer is the Jays MVP this year, another dinger last night.
If the Biebs pitches well on Friday, the pitching rotation should be as follows:
Scherzer, Bieber, Gausman, Bassitt and Lauer. Berrios to the BP, can't trust him going down the stretch, gives up too many dingers, use him as a one inning reliever.
