I liked Mrs. Carlson over Loni...

Actually, she was pretty hot for an old bird.

Great show and the character actors were brilliant.

A few of the highlights I personally remember:

* The drunk driving/response episode. A cop was conducting an on air test with Venus & Johnny about response times after multiple drinks and Johnny got better the more drunk he got.
* The episode with he reverend who was trying to block advertisers from the station (a great jab at the religious right).
* Johnny playing Pink Floyd song "Dogs". An album rarely played by main stream AM radio.
* Mrs. Carlson's Butler "Hersh!"
* Of course, the "Turkey episode".

Loni Anderson could have done more with her career, her biggest mistake was hooking up with Burt Reynolds. It ruined her career. I loved WKRP, one of the most memorable episodes was Less Nessman becoming suicidal. Everyone tried to talk him out of jumping off a ledge, Jennifer does the trick my saying to him, Less come back in and show me what a real man you are - with a sultry voice. Herb nearly ate the goose.

One of Burt Reynolds many flaws was being virulently homophobic. His fight with FoodTV CEO Marc Summers.

Came across as an evil cunt in this one. Once saw him slap some tv reporter's face because the guy wasn't familiar with "Sharkey's machine"
