In my work truck and personal car i have the ones that mount on rear view mirror . less noticable .
Amazon has lots of them .
Ceiling Cat's link to the Project Farm review is a good reference as that YouTube channel always does extensive research. In line with their VIOFO recommendation, the VIOFO A229 Plus 2CH Front and Rear 2K+2K HDR (duo camera model) is a great option as it is better than 1080P but not as costly as the 4K option. I also read that the 4K model can overheat in high temperature conditions. I found the A229 went on sale at blackboxmycar.ca for a lower cost than Amazon. There was a hiccup where blackboxmycar (a Canadian company based in BC) missed shipping a Front Filter Anti-Glare Circular Polarizing Lens (I recommend getting it) but they quickly rectified it so the customer service was great.
If you want to install it yourself, there are lots of videos on the web to show how to route the cables through the car pillars and door sills. Spend time looking at these videos and it helps having a 4 piece plastic auto trim removal tool kit (one piece comes with the A229 but it helps to have 1 or 2 additional, you could use screwdrivers but the metal can mark the plastic panels). You can buy trim removal tool kits for cheap on Aliexpress and Temu.
