Toronto is getting brand new flight routes to four sunny destinations across Mexico and Latin America this winter.

On Monday, Air Canada officially unveiled its winter sun schedule, which included new services for the winter 2025-26 season to countries like Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.

The airline's new routes include a Toronto to Rio de Janeiro route, which kicks off on Dec. 4, 2025, with flights to the Brazilian seaside city taking off every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until March 28, 2026.

You'll also be able to fly directly to Colombia's Caribbean coast, with the addition of the new Toronto to Cartagena route, which will offer weekly flights every Saturday starting on Dec. 20, 2025.

New routes also include Toronto to Pointe-à-Pitre, a city on the island of Grande-Terre in Guadeloupe, and Toronto to Guadalajara, a city in western Mexico known for its tequila and mariachi music. The routes kick off on Dec. 20, 2025, and Nov. 4, 2025, respectively.

Air Canada will also be increasing its capacity to other sunny destinations over the busy travel period, including Toronto to Los Cabos (two additional weekly flights), Toronto to Nassau (five additional weekly flights), Toronto Montego Bay (three additional flights), Toronto to Monterrey (extended from summer season, four weekly flights) and Toronto to St. Maarten (one additional flight).

In total, the airline will offer 55 daily flights and more than 80,000 seats weekly to Latin America over the winter season.

I'm excited for direct flights to Trinidad. I have to go there for Carnival one year.
