This is about resources, like it always is.

No one wants Denmark, America wants Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal for geopolitical reasons.

In fact, BlackRock just purchased the Panama Canal yesterday.

Canada will be forced to join our "partner" down below.

Eeks. I forgot about Iraq. Afghanistan I don't count as they struck the first blow to USA. Thus I stand corrected.
Apologies.
BTW I was thinking more modern era since pax Americana.
I reckon we could add all the Latin American countries ties 100+ years ago and Mexico in 1840s. Canada in 1812.oh well.
Iraq? how about Iraq?

Actually, latest polls says they want to be their own country. Not with USA and less with Denmark than they are now.
That is for them to sort out with Denmark and not for the US to facilitate or demand.
We might as well then poll the indigenous people of the USA what they really think about being with the US.

Correct.

Greenland recognises itself as a self-governing, autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark. His Majesty King Frederik the 10th is the ceremonial Head of State, as the system of governance is parliamentary democracy. Since 1979, Greenland has had its own government and parliament. Even though it is geographically part of North America, Greenland is politically part of Europe and much of its history is influenced by strong colonial past with Denmark.

Greenland has the right to declare independence. In Greenland’s Self-Government Act enacted by Denmark and Greenland in 2009, the Greenlanders are recognised as a people or nation entitled to the right of self-determination, with the option of independence. While it is recognised that most Greenlanders favour independence, opinions and strategies of how to reach this status are many, not least concerning the assumption of responsibility for its budget.

Interesting that trump was declaring Blackrock to be acting on US interests.

Trump doesn’t really have a lot of time to effect his revolution. The totalitarian regimes that he admires do not have to worry about domestic opposition because dissenters can be incarcerated or killed where Trump can just call his domestic opposition names like β€œwokes”.

Do you mean they are not "real" citizens?
Maybe it's time to round them up and put them in residential schools.
That'll teach them.
The Greenlanders are Danish citizens. Denmark did take a small contingent of Greenlander children (50) to Denmark for education, but did a lot less harm than Canada did. No religious schools, and no attempt to discourage their own language and customs.

I think the reason for the better treatment was that Greenland and most of the Canadian arctic was studied by Danish ethnologists who preserved the Inuit culture. Look at some of the site names in the Canadian arctic, Grisefjord = pigfjord.
Greenland has been a treasured part of Denmark since 982. It is a big part of Danish cultural identity. USA will run into difficulty annexing it. It is no less than Canadians being upset about USA annexing Canada,
